1. I used them in highschool when Spotify was blocked and I wanted to listen to new Metal tracks that people had recommended and that I loved myself.

Sad to see them go, have fond memories of their service!

Look at at this way, you`re the bassist, she probably didn`t even see you and just thought you were a chair................

Brilliant.

3. Ok so, I'm getting a custom cab made from these guys: http://www.roadkillcabs.co.uk/

I've used them before and they're stuff is TOP NOTCH. Now I'm getting something unloaded, which means I can put my own speakers in it, where do I start with speakers?

I'm pretty good with guitar speakers in terms of describing what sort of tone I'm after, I'm assuming this is something bassists do as-well?

Also, any general rules to go with so something doesn't blow mid-gig? (Going to be running a bass terror with it)

It's a 2X10, mainly for portability sake.

Many thanks!

Fisheth.

Edit: Just realized I've posted this in the wrong section, could a mod move it for me? Thank you!

Take it home and leave it lying around. I have quite a collection of hard cases and gig bags lurking throughout the house, to fool the current mrs discreet and keep her confused. Some of 'em may have basses in and some of them may not. One or two may have basses in that she hasn't even seen...

Planning on doing this, for when I start getting stuff that's a bit higher in the range... My mum notices a new one, but I've started on P-basses in Red/White. My dad knows my bass collection inside out now so I can't use any of the newer ones for gigs however (He's got a habit of coming a long to everyone to support his top son)

Cool. Why is this your perfect P ?

It's really simple and I love the neck on it. Also, mirror pickguard.

But I am gassing for a P-Bass and this is cheap enough, as something I can learn to mod with.

Well now I've got it into my head to get one of these... 100W (loud enough) 22kg (light enough - for an all-valve amp) and £275 (cheap enough). Yes I know it's ostensibly a guitar amp, but that doesn't bother me... and it'll have Thomann's 3-year warranty...

Woah, tempted. See how the 800 holds up tonight at rehearsal to see if that might be worth it.

Me too. Call me shallow, but I really can't stand sunburst finishes. No matter how good the instrument might be in all other respects, if it's sunburst I simply won't pick it up.

I'm not a fan of black myself!

Yeh - note, I mean this on new guitars, on seconds or older yes, I can sort it. If it has a bad cheese-grater action, how can I actually tell what it is like to play, it could be covering other problems?
Knobs loose or out of line means noone really cared putting it together or out on the display, in which case, it could well be a dog.

Thanks for the clarification. This makes more sense now!
