Help!
I have a Yamaha 2025x. I’ve just noticed that there is a weird, intermittent distortion happening. It’s not me clipping the input stage of the various pre amps I’ve tried or through a combo; the noise is there even with minimal gain.
Presumably a wiring issue, but I don’t know where to begin!

Great, reckon you could get an estimate for the courier you'd use?
I've been looking at getting one of these for a while, hows it currently set up tuning wise?
Howdy, it would be about 20 quid; I use UPS via interparcle

Heya,
Where abouts are you based? I've been interesting in getting one of these for a while.
Cheers,
Ross

Where’s that body from?! As in...link! Brilliant colour
I bought it eBay a few years ago and as such I can't find it as purchases only go back a year or so. I think I searched fro Royal Blue sparkle or some such. Sorry!

A Steve Harris bass without Steve Harris pickups?
I have a set but they ended up in my old faithful precision They sound good!

I had the body made/finished from a Italian ebayer. Cost £280 and the finish is outstanding!
All parts meaty neck. Has a brass shim.
hipshot tuners. Omega bridge. Seymour Duncan quarter pounders.
Scratch plate is acrylic - finding a real chrome one is difficult!
Plays great!
Drilled through the headstock when mounting the tuners! Oops!

Tremendous basses these...i'm on my 2nd Schecter a lot off bass for little money. Hope you don't mind me asking but did i buy a Warwick Streamer from you yonks ago ?
Possibly.....probably! I've bought and sold so many basses over the years I've lost track!

This is too nice a bass not to be used.
35 inch and Through neck, EMG 18v circuit with bass and treble, EMG-hz pickups. Amazing attention to detail.
It sounds a massive when the bass is boosted. The emg-he pickups get slagged a bit, but I don’t see the problem. On their own they sound quite middly but in a mix that gives a lot of character. I think it sounds great!
The action is low and is buzz free. It’s in fantastic condition. The strings are new Ernie Ball super long scale.
I have too many basses. I need to make room!.

Any 4 string trades?
A Sadowsky metro, possibly, but with some cash my way.

Stupid question I know, but does this have a truss rod? I honestly don't' whether a truss rod would make any difference to a graphite neck.
It does indeed have a truss rod - the older status' didn't, but they've had truss rods for quite some time now. Probably totally un-needed, but better to have to option to adjust I guess!

This is a very good price if you ask me. Try asking the boys at Alpher how much it would cost you to build this from scratch...you’d be adding at least another £1k on top of this price.
GLWTS!
For sure man, I think it would cost about £2600 new. I've priced it for a sale
