Yeah. It would seem it - what a shame as it ticks so many boxes. Would a BA2/Omega work - bit more travel?

I think the problem would be the same tbh.

Not being able to correctly set up the intonation on the low B and E is a more common problem than many people think. Especially for those of us who only play flatwounds. I feel your pain. I have been know to remove the spring from each of the saddles in question, to be able to push the saddle back a millimetre or so. So far it has worked on all my basses, but it ain't a particularly neat solution.
Agreed man - even removing the spring it is still very sharp

Would tapered strings not resolve it?
Possibly.......but it was shipped with D'Addario XLs. It is unfortunately just a bad design I feel.

Just received this bass. Ticks all my boxes; 5 string, PJ configuration, EMGs, high mass bridge, metalic blue, U shaped neck, ebony finger board.
However.......
Due to Babicz bridges enormous saddles, it wont intone. The saddle is back as far as it will go and the B and E strings are still 20% sharp. The only solution would be to remount the bridge about 1cm back!
It has to go back, which is unfortunate as it's a really nice bass otherwise; the Pickups sound great, the neck is comfortable, the action is low and it looks fantastic.
I'll probably do a video review on my youtube channel before it goes back.
What a shame!

Howdy,
very nice thumb! I don’t suppose you’d be interested in a trade for a barefaced Big Twin II?
Cheers,
Chris

I got this bass off here on a trade. It came with a John East preamp that unfortunately was defective. I replaced it with a Seymour Duncan STC2 preamp and Aguialr AG J 70s pickups. I think it sounds the damage!

A truly outstanding bass that I have had from new. Purchased from Bassdirect a few years ago, it has spent most of its time in the case as I tend to play 5 strings for most of my gigs.
I am after a 5 string Status of some variety, so I need to raise funds.
This bass plays as you would expect - fantastically! There are some minimal scratches to the pickguard. but overall it is in almost new condition.
Price includes UK courier.
Trades: A 5 string headless Status or a JayDee supernatural Series I.

There’s a couple of Spector’s up on Gumtree Edinburgh Doc! Not sure if he’s up for trades though.
Thanks man, saw them but they're not what I'm after.

Can anyone help with this?
On an active bass, there appears to be a problem with the EQ pots (rather than the EQ itself, I think).
Bass EQ; has centre detente. When turned past the detente there is a bass boost but the last 1/4 of the turn it becomes a cut. To my ears it sounds about the same cut as when the bass pot is turned all the way down. It's almost as if the calibration of the pot has gone wrong!
Middle EQ; boost and cut fine.
Treble: Centre detente. Cut works as it should but I can't really here any marked difference past the centre detente when boosted.
Curious. I had a Warwick where the volume did what I think the Bass pot is doing; Pot turned to 10 was about 1/3 volume, Pot turned to 0 was about a third volume too. Pot 6 = Max volume, and Pot 7-8 was no volume!
Any ideas?
