Sean Here ya go, enjoy Regards Mark

I will try to get you a larger picture Mark

12" cabs typically will handle 300 - 500w. Some are more efficient and hence louder than others. You will need a parametric eq to eliminate any feedback frequencies - two bands are a minimum IMO Mark

I have found that the Genz Benz Neox 112T cab is very good at around £400. If you have the budget then the Bergantino HT112ER is the biz! I have many Upright players now using these cabs - if you are used to the MB150 then this cab will be a revelation to you. Mark

Nice set up! I hope the combo is working out for you Mark
Hey Mark.......does that mean you're not going to debit my CCard? Your site didn't tell me you were out of stock when I ordered?
Hi I emailed you straight back to let you know there will be a delay and asked what you wanted to do. I assume you did not not get the email? Regards Mark

Hey all I am out of stock of these LMII bags after a mad run of sales! I will have lots in the next couple of weeks in the new and cool look :-) Mark

Mark This is panning out to be an awesome bass. Erik is really on top of his game and we are working closely with W&T and fine tuning these basses and they just keep getting better IMO. A custom project is always very exciting and this one is looking like a winner. Bass Direct has a couple of new ones in the pipeline as well that will have slightly different flavours to the ones we already have in stock to show just how flexible these basses can be. Mark

The feedback I have had from my customers is very impressive, although probably not necessary for all gigs I think these are the answer for those hollow stages and boomy rooms that crop up. Mark
Bass Merchant £499. Can't wait to plug it in. I WILL get over to Bass Direct sometime to try out a few cabs with my new head. Cabs are my next project and Leamington is on my to do list. although perhaps I should stay well away because I have fallen in love with ....
Straying slightly from the integrity discussion and onto something which has cropped up in it... Isn't there more new music now, available to more people now than ever before? And isn't the problem partly that the best of that music is simply harder to find because of the sheer volume there is to sift through and partly that we're all guided by our taste too? On a different tack again, isn't popular music (be that folk, jazz, country, soul etc.) separated from the other arts by the fact that a song, unlike a painting, novel etc. doesn't necessaily become an untouchable piece of art once the songwriting is complete, or with it's first performance or even it's recorded release. While in many cases, the original version will always stand as the benchmark, it's not completely uncommon for a cover to become the definitive version. Songs are living, breathing art because they need to be performed in order to exist. The Mona Lisa will still be there once you've left the room. But once the last note has disappeared, the song has gone and it was only those that heard it there and then who experienced the artistry involved in bringing it to life. Each time it's brought to life, it will be slightly different - the musicians, the equipment, the room, the audience, the dancing and so many other factors all go into creating that little shared artistic moment. Even if you've seen a song performed live by it's creator(s) countless times, it's only a collection of artistic moments you've been witness too, you'll never be able to get that exact same experience again, you'll never be able to own it the way you can a book or a painting. It's why covers bands exist. People want more than a memory, or to experience more moments. Even if some will be better than others, they still want them, even if they aren't fully aware of the artisic element of it all and express their enjoyment in less high-brow ways such as "I enjoy a sing-song." or "I love a good dance." Every performacne is a little piece of art so we all have artistic integrity.
Couldn't of put it better myself
Yeah I bet he can. Is it in any way related to a discussion of artistic integrity though? Regardless of how creative he gets to be with Jamiroquai (if at all), he apparently toured with Take That. He's a pretty bad example.
Ermm - Paul was MD (Musis Director) with Take that and also Boyzone - I know not exactly super cool, but as a pro musician that is not bad! I was citing him as an example of where being in a function band can get you. Paul is a great guy and a very competant professional player - I think you will find that his input reaches far beyond "just" playing bass. Just an example nothing else. Mark
I suppose playing with Jamiroquai these days isn't too much different to playing with Take That. Banging out the old Zender tunes is probably fun for a while, but I bet that's more than off-set by having to put up with a tosser like Jay Kay on a daily basis.
Hey I am not disagreeing with you, but I bet Paul can pay his mortgage and then some from these 'Super Function band gigs" eg Eurythmics (sp) etc. Mark
I think playing in a function band could only be a good thing, cos you never know who might be in the audience! You could be playing a gig and there might be someone of note who is looking for a good bass player to fill a void left behind, and then your world could become your lobster as they say
During a chat with Paul Turner (yes The Paul Turner) it turns out that he got his first big break playing with Take That in the 90's because the management saw him playing with a function band at an event and offered him the gig. Not a bad move, after all where is Paul now - well I guess you know the answer to that........ Mark

More info here guys; I saw this at Frakfurt and it looks very impressive. You have a choice of 250w/500w/1000w digital or analogue amplifiers and then a choice of preamp, eq and output section - there are dozens of combination. Expect this to be come available at the end of this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC9rD_xM4SU Mark
