1. Somehow new neck and refurbed body reminds me of Triggers broom Rob did a repair and refurb on my S2 body last year and it was a great job - I'm sure you won't be disappointed with your "new" bass!
2.
New Year's Eve Bump - still available, haven't eBayed yet.....
Guess what - bump!
3. New Year's Eve Bump - still available, haven't eBayed yet.....
4.
I just bought one of these and have only tried it at home so far. Gig on NY Eve so I/m looking forward to using it then. On my P bass, I have had to turn the actual Bug volume screw all the way down or I get the red clipping light come on, so those PUPs must be pumping it out My only criticism so far is that it does flap about a bit if I get a bit boisterous (oo~err). The careful application of a bit of Blutack does the job though.
Didn't you get a little circle of self-adhesive velcro (well, 2 actually.... ) ?
5. Mine works fine on top of my combo/head and cabs, depending on setup so doubt it's that... Something else on same frequency? Taxi outside?? Is it OK at home?
6.
I know it's not headless, but looove the GREEN LEDS!!
How about this then?

12. ** THIS BASS IS NOW SOLD ** Ok guys - here it is - was waiting for Rich to give me first refusal... This was my main bass until purchase of my S2 last year, and subsequent Empathy acquisition has now demoted it from spare to available... Plays great, sounds similar to an all-wood S1 (a bit more mellow than a graphite-necked status) Mid-90's (only produced from 1994 to 1996) Washburn Bantam XB-800 (Deluxe, I believe, and ever rarer than the standard ones!) Genuine Status Active 18v Soapbar pickups and active circuit Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, Tobaccoburst finish Good condition, a few minor dings, and slight tarnish to the gold hardware. Red dual brightness side LED's from www.fretfx.com (easily removable but would be destroyed in the process) Includes oblong hard tolex-covered case. Looking for £350 plus shipping.... or can be collected from NR9 area, just SW of Norwich... 10/2/09 - Now £300 Plus Shipping
13.
Yeah I purchased this back in May or so when I picked up the bass again. I found after a 2 year gap I could hardly remember anything so was on the look out for something to help me back in. Was hesitant at first as thought it could be a scam/a loaf of sh*te. But anyways I decided to go for it, started doing it & found it useful for a few things. I then lost the time to be able to sit down & read through 100 page PDF documents lol so I didn't get very far with it. If I do get a spare day to myself though I will sit down & work through. As I said it is useful & does include a few good ideas. The free software bundle that comes with it also includes some decent little programs. I haven't of course seen the end result but if it's like the guy playing in the video then it's surely worth it! So if you've got the time to sit down in front of the computer with your bass & grind through it then yeah I recommend it.
Thanks - and thanks everyone else for the alternatives - however the original request for reviews was because this method bigs itself up as being different - my attention span is too short for all of the basic dull stuff (and I'm past most of that ability-wise, as I read music and play guitar/keys too) - looking for improvement techniques, improvisation tips etc. really....
14. As title, really - has anyone handed over any of their hard-earned on this and would care to give a review?? Direct Link
15. I don't care, I didn't even bother to open this post....
16. I looked this up as I wasn't familiar with it... This Link might save someone else the bother and give you a bump at the same time

19. **** SOLD ***** Thanks Mat - enjoy! See you over on statii.com sometime!
20. He's a nice guy - I'm sure he'll fit you in, as long as you don't want a custom build acoustic as well..... Repairs/setups are bread and butter to luthiers, after all....
21. You could try my next-door neighbour Mick Kennedy Whilst predominantly an acoustic guitar maker, he should be able to sort you out if he's not too busy!
22.
Anyone got an idea how much it would cost or if it is indeed possible to defret a graphite neck?
If you're still looking for a bargain Status fretless, then check out my S1 here Regds Jim
23. OK - to help finance my latest Empathy acquisition, it's time to let someone else enjoy a fretless. Spec as follows :- Status Series 1 Lined Fretless 4 For Sale Year : 1995 (Best Guess from Rob/Dawn) Serial : #2388 Body: Facing Figured Walnut, Laminate, Red, Back ??? Finish : Satin Neck: Maple, Through, with graphite rods, lined fretless, Headed Hardware : Black Strings: 4 Circuit : Series-1 Pots Pickups: 2 x Hyperactive Last Owner : James Durand (Durandassi) who can vouch for its quality and condition (same as when it left him - great!) Plays like an S2, sounds slightly more mellow with the wooden neck, but not necessarily a bad thing for a fretless tone. Not overly expensive, so great for the odd fretless moment during a set! No case with this one, but I have an old case with broken handle that will be fine if shipping is needed. Looking for just £450 plus shipping! Payment by cash on collection (Nr Norwich) or Bank Transfer please. Pictures that James took when I bought it as I'll never take any as good as these :- Dec 1994 original ad - RRP £1175 Was on offer for £799 new 14 years ago!! :-
24.
Hey Jim, it was you that bought Mike's Empathy, then? Nice score! I hear it's had a full factory refinish, too. Lucky man!
And I've now ended up with 3 Statii that have been previously owned by James Durand.... Lined Fretless S1 now for sale on www.statii.com - will be on here in a few days if no takers, then eBay a bit after that
