Extreme punk energy from the Irish social commentator Meryl Streek.

Bravo, @MoonBassAlpha, nice one! 👍

Got rid of the 'Privacy' tab but I'm on a Samsung Android phone and can't clear it. Annoyingly, it covers the text I'm trying to read. Any easy way to get rid of it?
This whole, shambolic Ezoics business is getting right up the noses of many Basschatters.

And another for the pile.
A rinky-dinky, jingly-jangly, plinky-plonky instrumental to soothe your worries and ease your way when you find yourself walking through a lake dressed as Audrey Hepburn carrying a combustible umbrella. As usual.
Just a Sherwood solid-body electric mandolin and a Yamaha YPT-240 keyboard used this time. Recorded with Wavepad and Audacity.

Congrats, Doc 👏 enjoyed that, even if it was slightly unnerving in places! "Bubbles?" 👻

What’s the point?
So you can have fun doing stuff like this. Loads of extra tones for that Arabic vibe.

Here's mine, just. Holidays really get in the way of the recording process, don't you find?
I nearly went down the route that @Dad3353 took with his nod to The Prisoner, seeing as it's one of my faves (see my profile pic). However, I've swerved into a completely different direction.
A strange tale of being pestered by an annoying git who, for some reason, wants to ruin your day.
4 string cigar box guitar, 5 string guitar à la Keith Richards, cheapo Spider brand bass and MT drums. Recorded using Wavepad and Audacity.

And equally I ask why is it so important that I don't have the ability to be able to hide it?
I feel differently in that I have no problem with scrolling past things I don't fancy engaging with. Of the 25 threads currently on the first page of Off Topic, I may delve into about six of them, and occasionally have a look at one with an interesting/bizarre title e.g. "Are those my feet?". The mods on here could tell us if it would be easy to rig up a system where you could have the option to hide a thread but it sounds like it could be a lot of unnecessary hassle for them. That's just my guess, I don't know, I'm not a computer systems person. Again, I can only reiterate it's probably best to ignore the threads you have no interest in. It seems the simpler option.
I sympathise regarding some posts that make your brain hurt. In the DoI we have to cope with the unusual stylings of @Ricky 4000 😁

I suppose it was a little bit over the top, bit I simply don't "get" the DOI thread.
Every so often I dip in to seem what is happening, but to me as an outsider it just comes across as a clique with it's own set of in-jokes, and seemingly no connection between the various posts. I wouldn't even begin to know how to make a contribution.
I suppose what I really want is the ability to hide the thread from me permanently. I would have said the ability to hide all of "Off Topic" is what is needed but very occasionally there are threads in there that I am able and want to, make a contribution to.
Thanks for answering. May I suggest just ignoring it? It's very easy to scroll by. The 'Wordle' thread does nowt for me, but if it makes others happy I've no issue with it being there.

Can we make the Den Of Iniquity disappear permanently for everyone?

We thought that 54-46 That's My Number by Toots & the Maytals would have them all up and at it.

I'm in like Flynn.
Yet another drunken evening. It helps him to pass the time here. He's waiting for something, but what? He explores the skies every night but, so far, nothing. When will they come back for him? He waits and waits. It's all he can do...
Used Three Looperman drum samples, Yamaha YPT-240 keyboard, Westfield violin bass and a homemade baritone guitar built using an old printers tray as the body. Wobbly sounds come from a hint of tremolo off of a Roland Micro Cube amp and some delay from a Vivlex pedal. Recorded with the dependable duo of Wavepad and Audacity.

Oh, my! It's Percy Plant!
From the splendid book Led Zeppelin - A Celebration by Dave Lewis, which is where the following snippet regarding a regrouping in early 1986 also comes from.
It wasn't to be. And this, from last year, where Percy claims (probably tongue in cheek) that there's a smidgen of his bass on Led Zeppelin I.

I'll bet it's not him doing the fiddly parts on Good Times Bad Times

Place Your Hands by Reef. That song could drive me to murder. The way the singer mangles his vowels. He sounds like he has a mouthful of rubber bands.
True.

Also true. Hate the song with a passion, quite enjoyed playing the bassline when my old covers band did it. Better than having to plod through something you dislike with an equally uninspiring bass part to boot.
