IMO there's no need to "learn" more than the chorus section. Just get the feel right and you've cracked it.
+1 for this. When I had to learn it I got the gist of it and then used various bits and bobs from some of the live renditions and isolated bass tracks on youtube to fill it out and keep it bubbling along. You can really go to town with it!

You're never going to hear this played as background music in a supermarket
I do hope there's an adventurous supermarket manager reading this and thinking "Well, why not give it a spin..?"
I might blast it out from my phone next Saturday when I'm in Lidl.

The Molotovs at the Black Prince in Northampton. Energetic 3-piece playing short, sharp punk-pop tunes infused with elements of the Jam and the Libertines. The long-awaited album finally comes out on Friday. Third time I've seen them and they are a real tight unit. Always stick a cover or two into the set, this time Bowie's Suffragette City and a superb Martha and the Vandellas' Heatwave.

...still, there's bugger all on TV anyway, so here it is all done and dusted.
This fella has had more than enough of the ol' hooch. The shine has gone from his marvellous moonshine days and too many hangovers and trouser accidents mean that the firewater has got to go down the plughole.
Two guitars, one bass, artificial drums and one crap singer. Mixed up and spat out by the triumvirate of Wavepad, Audacity and Ableton.

Tomorrow morning is the deadline? Argh! Thought we had until the end of Sunday. Oh well, bang goes tonight's TV watching...

As someone who relishes having a go at making cigar box guitars and baritone ukuleles and the like from bits and bobs that I have kicking around I enjoy seeing the various processes involved in repairing old instruments and getting them back to a playable state again. Nice work, bravo

Metal Box by PiL. Simple yet inventive playing from Jah Wobble (and, on one track, Keith Levene)

Bravo @skankdelvar, I look forward to your stab at Merry Crassmas by Crass next year.
Mind you, 8 entries and only 6 voters? We can't even get ourselves to vote, let alone anyone else 😁

Mine is to pick up the bass more often. No band situation currently so no real pressure but I'd just like to get back, playing-wise, to where I was a while back. Will be making the effort to find time for practising. Life has got way too hectic over the past couple of years and fun seems to have taken a back seat. No longer! It's time to recalibrate.

I think Tiger Feet might've been my first favourite tune as a very small kid.
Same here. It's the first song that I can vividly remember from Top of the Pops. I was 3½!

Deck the halls with something or other...
I've done a cover of 1-2-5 by the Canadian garage rock band The Haunted, which was a number 23 smash in the Canadian charts back in 1966. I'm not sure what the lyrics are getting at but maybe they are about an encounter with an inexpensive prostitute, and how Christmassy is that?
Westfield guitar, violin bass, MT Drums. Wavepad and Audacity washed their socks by night.

Lurksalittle couldn't salvage mine, could she? My singer mate has a cold (yeah, right, he just can't be arsed) and I'll have to do it otherwise. Actually, remembering that the lyrics are a little 'spicy', best I have a crack at it. Sorry to bother you. As you were

Next Sunday (28th Dec) at 7-15pm. Jah Wobble talks about bass, bass and bass. Sounds good to me.

I have one exactly like yours which I bought about 25 years ago for around £30, I think. Had to tinker with it a little to lower the action slightly but I gigged it a few times and it never let me down. In fact, I'm having a noodle on it right now and it feels and sounds really good. Definitely made in Korea, mine has a sticker confirming the fact!

Stellar synthwave. Not to be confused with Stella Synthwave who works on the tills at Lidl.
