  1. Anyone? This is a cracking bass. Open to reasonable offers. Jack
  2. I don't think so but he might do some low key jamming. Jack
  3. I just sold my mate a squier Jazz today and he needs an amp. He's wanting to start playing a bit more after a long gap since his punk days (Haywire, ever heard of them?) Since I haven't got an amp since 1986 (GK 200MB combo) I have no idea what to suggest other than have a trawl around Gumtree, eBay, preloved etc. I'm suggesting he should go for ~50W, second hand, cheapish and compact. We are not in flashy territory here. What would you go for? Cheers Jack
  4. Nice recommendations, thanks all. I'm surprised and pleased that they aren't all £££ Mr Ghost, I have some on the wall and they hang there like the works of art that they are. But some still lean against walls. I'm trying to reduce my collection down to 4 or 5 (3 are in the basses for sale section), but it's hard letting them go. I'll send you a PM bobthedog. Cheers Jack
  5. Can anyone recommend a bass guitar stand for around five basses? After every corner of the room is occupied it would be great if they could all be in one place. Solid, sturdy and hopefully not too many £££ Cheers Jack
  6. I've never seen one of those in the flesh before. Good luck with the sale. Pic below from Blasquiz book: The Fender Bass
  7. If the build quality etc. is anything like the Jazz basses from this time, it will be a cracker! Glwts. Jack
  8. Oh yes! And who says you can't buy love?
  9. Cheers, I've made enquiries.... This is the reason for my question: I think I'll replace the Badass with the original bridge and then it's about as original as it can be (ignoring the J pickup) Cheers Jack
  10. Agreed Mr zed, amazing tones, lovely neck and excellent build quality. Jack
  11. Thanks Pf, Much appreciated That gives me a starting point. I'll see if I can find a local supplier. Cheers Jack
  12. That's seems like a reasonable assumption to me. I will continue my quest, trying to get my 72 precision a bit more original after my mid 80s butchery (which I wish I hadn't done).
  13. Thanks 40hz! Edited to confirm it is a FB not FU.
  14. That's an idea, but I don't know if the threads are metric or imperial. I thought there might be someone who knew these intricacies.
  15. For sale, Musicman Stingray 4 HH. Trans red with matching headstock, maple neck. Date of birth is 11/12/06 Ser. No. E44241 No buckle rash but a few dinglets on the edge of the body and a mark on the headstock (from it being on a hanger). Plays well and has a fantastic range of tones. £900 ono, no trades but still slightly tempted by the whole Markbass CMD102 business. Based in Dorset, prepared to travel for a couple of hours if need be. Cheers Jack
  16. Rev man, I won't be able to make your gig but have a good one. Can't afford a new amp really anyway!
  17. Bank Holiday bump. Make an offer, what's the worst that can happen? You might even end up with an iconic bass in concours condition.
  18. Thanks for the tip Ead, I live in Dorset and would be happy to drive ~2 hours if someone is interested. I do believe that you should try before you buy. Jack
