  1. some good advice on here, i would have told him to leave it there, and get someone else to help out, sounds like a pompous prat. dont need to be technically talented to produce good music, need a personality.
  2. Bought a USA musicman sub from Martyn, delivered super quick, excellent packaging. great to do business with.
  3. proud new owner - loving this bass, immaculate and sounds great. Bagsinblue top man!!!

    hi

hi everyone and thanks horizontalste, thats a good point, i have been doing a few lessons on jam play so i will do as you say
  5. thanks thats great info, i will look for a usa sub as quite a few of the others around and thanks foe the info on the sterling as was really confusing
  6. Thanks Ou7 that makes my search much more affordable until i can afford, justify a ray
  7. hope this is not a dumb question but do subs and stingrays sound the same, similar? is it just the finish and where manfactured. i have not been playing too long but always wanted a stingray but ended up with a lowish priced ibanez which i find ok. do you think getting a fully fledged stingray ( 2 eq) is overkill for someone learning etc? from what i can gather the stingray seems to have a deeper tone than the other musicmans but i am sure someone will put me right.

    hi

i am a 40 something geezer living in county durham. i have messed around with guitars for ages but never managed a recognisble riff until the last week when the pennys suddenly dropped. own a ibanez 4s bass which i am practising on every day. ultimately want to be in a band (who struggle to play), influenced by 70s punk, funk, ska...everything pretty much. i want to purchase a musicman stingray which i could not afford a few years ago so hoping the mrs won't mind. hoping to get some advice on learning, currently playing tabs from the jam, stray cats etc.
