2. I added high resolution pictures. As you can see bass is new and sounds great
3.
I'm sure I'm being super stupid here but I don't understand the '78 serial number and the '83 neck stamp? '78 necks had block inlays too? Is this a special edition or something?
thanks for your interest. As many of you certainly know at that time (early '80) at Fender Factory there were available several pieces from late '70 stock and in many cases they assembled instruments with different serial and year: body, neck, fingerboard, etc. Yes you can consider it as a special edition due to uncommon look that we are used to see nowadays but actually is the same of "american standard" of that period years. If you are looking for a particular jazz bass with great tone at rigjht price this is the piece.
4. Fender Jazz Bass Sienna Burst colour (rare) Really good bass from Dan Smith era (Fullerton) with particular look, white pick up, and killer sound. Neck serial number is '78 and body '83. It comes with hard case. No trade PRICE: £1160 or €1650
5. Selling SADOWSKY UV70, mint condition. Bass is from 2010 and comes with original case. Ash body, maple a neck and fingerboard. 11. Hi, nowadays I am totally under heavy GAS for new amp stuff. But I have something like black and white syndrome not yet focused about what type of head to get. Black is a Mesa Bass Burner...strong, heavy, tube sound, with, imho, old style flavor. White is Glockenklag Blue Sky mint condition, friend of mine is selling it, sure about the quality, clean sound with modern comforts. Price is more or less the same. Really I do not know...
12. Thank you guys i am going to put strings soon. Let' see the result.
13. Hi, I need help to understand how to install Velvet strings, Anima in particular, to my bass. According to main rules metallic part doesn't have to roll up on machine head, only thin red part has to be. But this is not possible because strings are too long and it is impossible that metallic part won't roll around the machine... how to do? maybe they has to be mount like normal but I don't think so. Somebody could help me, explain and show how to put those string on the bass?
