  1. You may as well ask the question are you good enough to drive a super-car. I’m sure everyone that buys one thinks they are but hardly any of them have the skills to get the best performance from the car. If you have the funds and desire why not though. You only live once.
  2. Personally I would give the dremel method to cut a slot in the broken screw a try first, failing that go round the screw in circles with the dremel and plug with a dowel. I’ve used the second method to remove broken machine head screws a few times. It does leave a largish hole to plug. 4. Might do with a fine enough wire wool. Not tried it though so can’t advise sorry.
  5. I’ve used a heat gun to do this a few times then sanded down to bare wood going through the grits. I’ve always used tru-oil afterwards. You have to be really careful though particularly with the heat gun as you don’t want to burn the wood. Working around the frets was very slow going. I wouldn’t be surprised if I put in over 20 hours to get the finish I required.

  8. OK I’ve not used FB market place. So it’s not a buy now type function where the transaction is held whilst the deal is completed? Sounds like a breeding ground for scams if the same item can be sold multiple times with no process in place.
  9. Very tricky to deal with things like this but as people are aware of this guy why not just take it in turns to buy everything he has for sale and arrange to pay on collection? It will stop fake items being offered for sale and eventually he will need to open another account under a different name. Your not doing anything illegal or against the T&C’s of the site as your willing to pay real cash for a real item.
  10. Fender are an odd one in that some of their signature and premium ranges are sometimes produced in Mexico and Japan. Then they occasionally produce some cheaper ranges that are excellent. The only Fenders I have kept are MIM and MIJ. I’ve sold on USA ones as they were a bit Meh ..
