Amp and cabs now sold. Thanks all. I bought this around 6 months ago, as I was regularly gigging and needed a lightweight rig I could shift on my own. However, I'm not gigging every week anymore, so am now using my old rig (a couple of 4x10s and an Ashdown head) as I have people to help me lug it around for the odd gig! :-) It has a great sound and I've been complimented on how good it sounds by fellow players as well! The cabinets have a few marks (as is pretty much standard for TC cabinets), but no gouges/holes, just superficial marking really. Nothing major - see photos for details. Everything is in perfect working order, as good as the day it was purchased. It's a great rig, but I've only used it 4 times since I bought it and it's not been used for a couple of months now so it's time for it to go. Collection from Norwich (though I could deliver within reasonable distance for petrol money if required). No trades thanks. Any questions, just ask!

I love being a bass player because...
Fred Leicester replied to Chaos Daveo's topic in General Discussion
Similar to previous posters, I play guitar and bass to a decent standard, and actually started on guitar, but I just feel at home on bass now. I played guitar at a gig a few years ago to fill in as our guitarist couldn't do the gig, and we had a dep bass player play my bits. I thought I might enjoy the guitarist "limelight", but spent the gig being jealous of the bassist we had filling in for me! I was glad I didn't enjoy playing guitar live, as had always wondered if I did the right thing opting to be a "permanent" bass player :-) There's something about the rhythmic side of things for me; I played drums as a youngster so think that has always stayed with me. Can't beat locking into a beat/groove in my opinion. I really, really love playing bass :-) -
Take a break, but don`t sell all your gear. You may find a renewed interest in music a few years down the line, and having to then re-buy is a pain - I`ve been there. Just sounds to me like your interest for your current band has gone. Once you start to resent gigging it really gets to you, so leaving is def best for both you and the band.
^^^ This! I stopped playing around 10 years ago and sold all my gear... and now I've bought literally everything I had before again (and more!) since I started playing again around 3 years ago! Take a break and just wait for the bug to come back again. It will; it might take a little while, but it will come back.
trades?
Not currently, BaggyMan... I've bought 2 new basses since January so I'm slimming down the collection currently. If it doesn't sell longer term then I might reconsider, but there's really nothing else I need at the mo. Cheers though.

Collection from Norwich, or I can deliver in Norfolk/Suffolk if required for petrol money. Failing that, courier arranged by the buyer is fine. So, my lovely Lakland 55-01! It's absolutely lovely.... So, why am I selling it, I hear you ask? Well, I've bought 2 new basses since January this year for one, and I'm just not playing anything which requires a 5 string anymore... so it's time for it to have a nice new home where it will be tickled on a regular basis. It's in excellent condition - I can't see any marks, scratches, dents at all. Nothing. It's lived in its gig bag whenever it hasn't bee used, and it's been played fingerstyle only so there's no pick scratches or anything. The only thing I can see, which I've tried to photo, is a mark on the very end of the headstock, but it's not a scratch or dent or anything, just seems to be a marking in the wood itself. I only mention this in the interest of being totally honest! This bass plays so easily, it's the best 5 I've ever personally picked up. Inevitably, I'll miss it and want to buy it back in 6 months time, but for the moment it's just not getting the use. If you can give this beauty a home, both it and I will be very happy indeed Gig bag included! Any questions, just ask.

No trades, collection from Norwich, I can deliver in Norwich/Suffolk area, or it'll be courier arranged by the buyer. Ta. I've owned this from new since 2014. It's a fantastic guitar, but with my recent bass purchases and a lack of playing, it's time has come to find a new home! It's in excellent condition - no dents, scrapes or scratches etc. Comes in a fantastic quality gig bag which is nicely padded. Here's some specs nabbed from a retailer, which says it better than I can.... Meanwhile the set-thru neck has the feel and playability of a thru neck but without the huge expense that it adds to a guitar, so you get great upper fret access and feel! The Custom Pro 7 Alnico passive humbuckers have all the dynamic range you could want with lightning fast attack and awesome sustain. Specification Swamp Ash Body All natural finish (note photos currently show prototype with black back and sides) Set thru neck Hipshot hardware Chapman Custom Pro 7 Alnico Passive Humbuckers Neck depth at nut: 40mm Neck depth at 12th: 52.1mm Neck depth at 24th: 57.6 Scale length: 26.5 Inches Includes gig bag This is genuinely a lovely guitar, and plays very easy for a 7 string. As mentioned, I'm only parting with it to pay for the 2 basses I've bought since January this year.... ! Any questions, just give me a shout!
