    Demon FX D7K

I found this. It sounds pretty close, but it's been a while since I owned the B7K.
  2. You could get something like this. Weighs a ton and the pre amp is no longer available but the sound of this Poweramp is fantastic. https://m.thomann.de/nl/warwick_jh_mp50_hellborg_poweramp.htm?o=4&search=1561884237
  3. That account was last active in 2013.
  4. I think the on the left is the input transformer, then there’s the coil based eq section in the middle one and the one on the right is the power transformer....upper left is the d.i. Output transformer. yeah those trannies in the p.a. are serious.....ly heavy. 😬
  5. The only other schematics I have seen are the one for the poweramp, and the one for the lights in the preamp. btw.....if you were wondering why that stereo amp weighs 21 kilo’s that’s a lot of heavy metal 😎
  6. But in this schematic the transformer comes after the join of xlr en cinch input? I would read that as being used for either.
  7. I speak from my own experience, which apparently differs from yours, and not myth. I have found the low B on the Dingwall to be an actual playable string opposed to the ones I've played on 2 different Fender Deluxe Jazzes. Buy yymv and all that.....I'm happy with it.
  8. Since nobody has said it yet.......buy a Dingwall. I’ve never heard such a true low B.
  9. I’m just sat here hoping there will be a standard D-bird 5.
  10. I don’t need a club cab....I don’t need a club cab....I don’t a club cab......😐
  11. Be well then, and listen to the docter.
  12. So, tell us? Do you just put the amp on top of the rack?
  13. Or just get the pre, and something like this http://www.guitarsoundsystems.com/gss-1000w-sumo-guitar-bass-power-amp-c2x23791314
  14. Well the package including huge cardboard box was about 9 kilo's so my guess is about 5 kilo's.
  15. The sleeve arrived yesterday. It was a bit of a puzzle figuring out how to install everything as the poweramp has extra brackets for fixating the rear end. And let me tell you, trying to install a 21 kilo poweramp on your own is not easy. Reaching the pre-amp's connections after installing it is not easy either. I think I'll get an short xlr extention to stick into the d.i. permanently. One thing is for sure, this amp is not going back to Thomann.
  16. So, had my first band practice with it tonight. It’s amazing, played with pre amp bypassed at first and was greeted with a warm luscious fat clear sound. It just felt like i was listening to a high end recording of my Dingwall. It felt like it has this super accurate compressor in it that can read my mind. even broke out my MIA Fender Jazz deluxe V which I harldy ever play.......that finally sounded like I allways thought it should have. This rig is worth it’s weight in gold!
  17. What are the feet like when you remove the wheels? do they give any clearance from the cab? Asking because there's a strap-handle on top of my cab.
  18. Yep, on its way as we speak. I'm not looking forward to lifting this often. But it sounds so nice. Haven't tried it at proper volumes for prolonged time yet......hopefully I won't get the distortion you heard.
  19. Just received my pre and stereo power amp. I’m running it into an barefaced big twin 2. I tried not to have any expextations and since I’m still in the honeymoon fase I’ll try not to gush.....too much The sound and looks are phenomenal.....as is the weight! The immediacy of the notes, the dynamics. It’s warm yet very accurate. The eq is absolutely brilliant. It’s dead silent. Even the switches feel super sturdy. I think I’ll keep it.
  20. Yeah, ordered the pre and stereo power amp and it's been packed and ready for shipping right now. Sort of an impulse buy at the right moment, not quite sure what to expect from it, but it looks sexy as hell.
