I’m going to buy the NXV210 one. Just that one on its own to use in Cubase when I’m recording bass. Not expecting it to sound like a real rig but it might give me the Berg vibe….maybe.

I can profile my HD112 cabinets (when I get round to it) and I'll be comparing the IR with the real thing.

Anyone seen these IR’s? Seems like a good idea to me, seeing as how great their cabs are.

I hadn't, but I absolutely know that I've had a long conversation with Jim Bergantino about using the system that Bergantino employ to create the B|Amp profiles could produce IR's of all of their cabinets. Of course, as Celestion make the new NXT drivers, they can do this process in house and, well, it looks like they have!

  3. Apologies if I’ve missed it in the thread, but, have you been out and found a really great teacher yet?

Everything you have mentioned in the thread has been at least one of my students over even just the last ten years of teaching.. many of them were saying the same thing.

it sounds like you need some 1-2-1 with a patient understanding teacher who knows their stuff.

Good luck, I hope that you are reunited with the joy of playing music.

  4. What do you all look for in a YouTube video? What do you want to see more of, what do you want to see less of?

Are short five minute videos touching on the key areas better for you than 15-20 minute offerings that go in to greater detail? (How to use something or more available sound examples)

Please quote me and comment as I (like I am sure all videographers and vloggers) would be interested to find out!

Helix® guitar processors have set a new standard for speed and ease of use to craft authentic and responsive guitar tones. Each product in the Helix family provides a familiar approach to tone creation, with a straightforward and intuitive interface that eliminates complex menu diving, and replaces it with incredibly easy interaction. Helix products deliver extensive flexibility for a variety of applications, enabling you to take tones from studio to stage—and back again.

Powered by next-generation HXTM Modeling technology, the Helix family recreates amps, cabs, mics, and effects with accuracy and precision. Vintage and modern tube amp models give an authentic sound and feel, and are designed to interact with your playing like the originals.

    Comes with -

Push On Pedal toppers (six installed for top row buttons, easily popped off if not needed). You can still slide your fingers underneath and operate the touch sensitive functionality, but this helps to stop unnecessary triggering when editing patches if, like me you have big bass player hands and looooong fingers!!

The best screen protector out there made by the awesome @intime-nick that I bought to protect my investment, £20 well spent!

Original Box and hopefully all the case candy too (including the power lead ha ha!)

Free insured / tracked shipping, or you are most welcome to come collect!

The swirls on the device is just where I have wiped with a damp cloth for the pictures, but the casing does have the odd mark on it from having been used but certainly not abused!

I can throw in a pedal board carry case too for an extra £40, (to accommodate the cost of the bag and additional shipping costs).

I thought you had a Smooth Hound? My mistake if not.

Anyway, for anybody looking to test the latency... see above!

It was a wider question regarding all the usual suspects, to see what the figures really are. I feel that the more well known ones will probably be pretty damn closer to the manufacturers details, the cheaper end of the scale, I'm not so sure!

Splitter and a stereo interface. Audacity. Measure how many ms one channel is compared to the other. Job done.

    You've surely got that kit?

    re-read :) I have the test gear, I don't have the wireless systems 😂

The DBS7400? I had one of those, great amp, paired it with a Marshall VBC412 cab, was a set up capable of blowing those doors off that Michael Caine spoke about.

    I’m jealous Loz! Yup, the DBS7400 ☺️🥰

  10. For old school it would absolutely be a Marshall 7400, I would love one of those!

The EBS 802 does exactly what it says on the tin and gets my thumbs up! TD650 used to be my favourite EBS head until this one came along!

I like the Eden WT550 for a baby iron, nice tone on that one.

Ampeg SVT 4 Pro (or get the Helix with its SVT4Pro model and a power amp)

  11. I'll be video reviewing one of these fine lil beasts very soon. It's sat on my desk here at the moment!

Oh and another cool lil dude from Barefaced too, for another review!

  12. I know he’s pretty full with work, but Shuker’s finishing is absolutely stunning. Flips, crackles, sparkles, wet look glass finishes and even practically invisible matt finishes.

He’s a talented chap, not just one of the best luthiers out there, he even goes as far as designing his own top notch electronics when needed too.
