  1. Stating what so many do but it still puts a smile on my face and restores just a little of my faith in (some) humans when I only encounter good, solid and genuine people on here.

Have never had an issue with anything I’ve sold or bought on here. Always smooth transactions and never any issues.

    Good work, bass people!

  2. I’m in the process of going back to using Ashdown gear. The way it goes, you go around the houses, then end up more or less back where you were 15 years ago!

+1 on the added bonus of being able to get the guys at Ashdown to fix and service too.

And the quality of what you can get for the money secondhand is dead right. Picked up (not literally) a physically battered but audibly perfect MAG 8x10 for less than £100 of fleabay and in process of purchasing an older ABM head off here. The whole rig for around £300?!?!? Still gives me enough left over for a more portable cab for gigs, with the 8x10 sitting in the rehearsal space.

    Bonkers.

  3. More good stuff there then. And bless ya, thanks so much for the offer. I’m West Miss is a fair way away but very grateful for the offer. Interestingly, I was thinking of pairing it with a Barefaced cab and have been chatting to Alex at Barefaced about that!

  4. After many years of not playing fretless I’m considering dipping my toe back in the water, and so I’m after suggestions for a good, solid and decent fretless. Lower end of the cost spectrum would be good as not convinced I’ll stick at it but want to give it another go.

I’m mostly a Fender player and have had a brief look at (but yet to try) the Squier VM fretless P, and the Vintage Jaco tribute thing. Any opinions on these out there guys?

Any others worthy of consideration in a similar budget?

Lined would be ideal (hahaha) but not essential.

    Cheers.
