Betting , if so , it's 'nerves' related. Nothing wrong with watching what you're doing but it does look better if you're eyes aren't glued to the fingerboard during gigs. Take my tip and find a nice bright fire exit sign to stare at. Pretend it's a person. That way you have something to focus on and the punters don't feel threatened by being stared at.
I do do it more at practice yes, and my theory was if I can stop doing it totally at home then I won't do it as much when at practice/at a gig. In theory anyway.. lol
 2. Tonight I decided that I look at the fretboard too much (ie all the time) when I'm play. With out debut gig at the end of next month (touch wood!) I've decided to do something about it. I donned a blindfold and proceeded to practice Some I struggled with.. but generally it wasn't too bad.. I managed to play Avenged sevenfold's easy and Alice in Chains' Them bones pretty much flawlessly which I was shocked at. Was definately an experience though.. lol! Anyone else got anything they can play blindfolded?
 3.
YOUR A FAN OF THE 'DRED!?!?! YOU ARE f***ing BRILLIANT!!!! Skindred rock sooooo hard it HURTS!!! so, the big question...do you have the original version of babylon, or the watered down, lesser beast that they brought out when they moved labels?
Original of course
 4.
Led Zeppelin - the crunge Skindred are awesome, played an ace set at download this year
We saw them at the Sugarmill in Stoke... they were AMAZING. Got the whole room literally bouncing..
 5. So what music you listening to right now? Lets see how much people's tastes vary... I'm currently listening to Skindred - Kiss and Make up... tuuuuuuuuune!
 6.
Probably a bit of both
Well delivery really.. I don't remember the conception! In other news I found my 'loud' voice in the car today... was under the seats nestled in some discarded tesco receipts
 7.
Bollocks you've given birth...
You know.. you've got a point... I grunted, screamed and growled for britain both times... wish someone would've recorded it! LOL
 8. Thanks guys.. just got back... wasn't too bad but find it hard to hear if I'm in tune or not until it's too late! Obviously on stage I'll have a monitor but any tips for being able to hear myself ok? Other than that it was ok, needs work but I didn't A)die B)get the piss taken out of me or C) get sacked so I'll class that as a small victory! lol! Even the guitarist who never ever pays a compliment to anyone said that it actually didn't sound too bad.. so yea... can't wait for next week
 9.
Here you go
Fanks... that'll do nicely
 10.
Roar it,....growl as if you want to kill! If Andrea from Arch Enemy can so can you!!
lol I'm PRETTY SURE I can't.. lol!!
 11.
At this point I'd usually say 'get completely pi55ed and get your willy out', but I suppose that's inappropriate.
Well considering I don't have one.... can I get someone elses out?
 12.
/highfives/
*goes to high five.... misses... falls flat on face...*
 13.
Ney,ney and thrice ney. You CAN sing - it's just that you DON'T sing. Like anything else you'll improve with practise , so sing lots. Then you won't need anyone to wish you luck , as you'll have the skills , though I do wish you luck anyway.
Thanks doc
 14.
LOL I had a go a couple of weeks ago and know what you mean. I was more conscious of the band listening ( it was the quiet bit in Wishing Well, "love and a peaceful world" ) than I ever would be with an audience !! Hope it goes well Tony
LOL that's exactly it.... I know what they're like for piss taking!!!
 15.
Co-incidentally is the REALLY pointy 'Dean' Available still, the one 'Schmier' from Destruction used?
You're obsessed with pointy things... Seriously though, no idea..lol!
 16.
I'm sure some of the 'hanger' stands on the market would work but I lay my Explorer flat on top of my rig , as the top bits are inside a nice soft Warwick rack bag. How do you get on with the Ex ??? Better than I do , I hope !!! Can't reach the first couple of frets on the bloody thing half the time and I'm only just shy of 6ft. Wondering how you transport it too. Mine goes in an Ex guitar gig bag , which is too short so I cover the 2" that stick out of the end with a pair of walking socks! '1000 mile' socks , if you want an endorsment !!!
Mine came with a bag when I bought it.... £120(direct from Dean anyway) worth of Dean leather guitar bag The bag is MASSIVE, in fact it's so big I'm actually considering if it's possible to transport 2 basses to practice in it.. http://musical-instruments.pricegrabber.co...oduct/sv=title/ I'm 5ft 9 so height's not really a problem but I end up having to bring the neck up to play the higher frets so I've got it at a 45ish degree angle. That and I've got long fingers
 17.
In 23 years I've never broken a string, is that some sort of record ?.
6 years on a off for me. Doesn't beat your record though!
 18. What do people recommend? Not sure what I'd need to be able to hold my Dean explorer but most of the stands I've seen wouldn't fit it.. Any help would be much appreciated!
 19. Well THIS should be interesting.... it's only one song but I've been practicing all week getting used to singing and playing at the same time and still can't do one of the bass fills AND sing at that exact moment... and did I mention that I can't sing? Wish me luck!
 20.
Too late I got me Varwick Corvette $$ on the way  I think my GAS has to be supressed for the mo otherwise I'd be on the loook out for the greenie
I'm still lusting after a Dean flying V...
 21.
That's the baby...uhhmmm I like that green!
It's even better in real life and is light as a feather
 22.
Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton was the biggest and he Oddfellows Arms in West Brom the smallest.
I've been to see gigs at the wulfrun... great venue
