  1. guess what yet another failure of my mb115 same probs as last time the solder on the inductor coil broke third time this cab has failed.not good
  2. recently i acquired a washburn ab-34 very cheap but i can't seem to find any info on them apart from that they were discontinued.ive looked on ebay to but theres none for sale so any info you have will be appreciated cheers
  3. so far all our wedding gigs have been booked after a gig where the couple have stood and watched us play and interact with the crowd or by people at someone else's wedding that has enjoyed the night's entertainment its only recently we've thought about doing wedding Fayre's
  4. i think we have been under selling ourselves we've been charging £500 to £700 for which they get band and disco.the night usually goes like this disco(well easy listening)while the folk eat. then the proper disco starts till about about 9 oclock.after which first live set.another disco followed by a audience participation game then live band again .then disco till the end
  5. my 450h is now my backup head because i had lost confidence with it soi bought a peavey max 450 off this site.the thing is built like a tank it also weighs the same and runs at 2 ohms all day without getting hot

  7. welcome to the marshall mb club.mb stands for made badly i had the exact same problem with my mb 115 and twice the thermal protection on the head has cut in so now im saving up for a peavey bv2 and the tour cabs.i'll never buy another marshall bass amp or cab again still its true what they say you get what you pay for
  8. for me megadeth or girls alouds backing band just so i could stand at the back and watch them wiggle their bootys all night
  9. its like anything else you get what you pay for.the vba 400 is an awesome head the mb450 not as good but there's about a £700 difference in price
  10. tried female klr to quarter inch jack and it worked fine so job done cheers

  12. the Di is going from the head into mike input using an xlr lead

Ive just started using the di on my marshall mb450h but every time i connect it to the desk a soundstation 600 the gain lights go straight into the red.so we have had to turn the gain on the bass channel right down to almost zero to bring the lights down to amber but the bass from the front sounds sh*te.we are using mackie 450v2 and rfc bins all active is there any way of turning down the signal from the amp its self my peavey 450 max has a control knob for the di but the marshall hasnt so any help or advice welcome
  14. over here in west cumbria most local bands get between £250 and £300 for two 45 min sets for pub gigs
  15. i was just wondering if anyone has tried peaveys vb2 head and if you have is it any good.ive found them on the tinternet for £909 but as i live in north west cumbria and im at least 90 mins drive from a decent music shop so wanted your opinion on them . cheers
  16. the inductor coil was loose on my cab poor design.i had expected more from marshall but then again they make them in india or some far off place where labour is cheap.as soon as i can palm it off on anyone I'll be buying hartke or genz benz but not marshall ever again
  17. i was unlucky enough to but the mb115.i have now decided that the mb stands for made badly.ive not long had the cab and its packed in twice.as it was going to cost £50 postage to send it back to nevada music i opend it up it see if i could find the fault myself.i took the plate off the back and it looked like it had been soldered by i blind monkey there is a thread somewhere on this site from folk who have had the same problem.by the way the head is ok but just ok
  18. the marshell mb450h runs at 2 ohms.and so does the peavey max but that weights a ton
  19. after quite a few beers last night my mate was saying he was going to sell his ab-34 its in good condition with only a few small marks on it and it has its own case.after playing it for a while i offered him £80 as a starting point for haggling but to my suprise he said go on then.so its mine for £80 just wonderd if id done well out of this as i dont know what thel sell for

  21. ive been using mine at 2ohms for about twelve months.sometimes three nights a week and never had a problem with it.but im using marshall cabs.our set is normaly two one hours sets with a five min break between

  23. ive just joined a thrash band so i thought id better buy a bass that looked the part.and i dont want to spend lots of cash on it. so i just wonderd if anybody has one or played one and are they any good ?
  24. yeah i got the soldering iron out.i bought mine from navada music in portsmouth and as i live in west cumbria it was going to cost £50 to ship it down.that and the fact i had a weekend full of gigs ment i couldnt afford to wait so i did it myself
  25. ive had exactly the same problem with my mbc115 it was even the same dry joint.
