Total Watts

  1. Yeh I guess the brand has a good rep, and the sound is decent. I was just wondering if there were other choices I could have gone for if I had £200 in my pocket
  2. I heard from a friend that Marshall bass amps are just generally rubbish. It's too late for me I already have one. But because it's my first amp I don't really know the difference between all the brands out there. I just wanted to know if this was true or if I should have looked elsewhere. By the way I have a 30watt Marshall MBB series...
  3. I've been playing bass for a year and a half. I've self taught the basics and have worked and worked on them till my fingers bleed. I still don't think I any good but I want to progress to the next level. There are several reasons for not wanting a bass teacher, one being I don't have any spare cash for lessons and the other is I love working things out for myself and doing thing my way. But now I feel I can't progress without proper guidance. Is there any alternatives or is having a proper teacher the only way?
  4. I have a Westfield VBS4A which is my first bass, and I find there are no problems with it, I love the small body on it, it feels fairly well made and there's nothing wrong with the sound. It is perfect for what I'm doing at the moment. The price tag was stunning for what it is at just over £100. However I can see why people would spend more money - better quality of sound, brilliant materials, better build. All of these factors can contribute in a live or recording situation dramatically making the overall sound of your band professional and generally more pleasant to the trained ear.
