  1. EHX Bass Clone, in excellent condition with original box and velcro on base. IMO this is the king of 'affordable' bass chorus pedals; it just sounds really good and the crossover and bass and treble controls are great touches. This has been bumped off my big board by a Jam Waterfall Bass, partly due to the latter's vibe side. The EHX isn't without compromise - it's not totally quiet in operation, but perhaps that's nitpicking by a chorus nerd...

£55, posted First Class or we can knock a fiver off if you're collecting from M27.

    Thanks for looking!

  2. Genzler re/Q eq and filter pedal. Immaculate condition, with original box (bought new by me a few months ago). Velcro on base. This is a brilliant pedal, solidly built with well-voiced eq and independently switchable hpf and lpf. Runs on 9-18V (any polarity) with a 40mA current draw. A change of tack means I can't accommodate this on my new boards but frankly happy to keep it in the wings if it doesn't sell quickly.

Collection from Manchester M27 or happy to post First Class for a fiver.

    Thanks for looking!

  3. Walrus Jupiter V2 bass fuzz. Fantastic condition but no original box. Velcro on base. Really versatile fuzz with internal gating pot for added fiddling scope. I just can't justify fuzz on my current boards unfortunately.

  4. Zander Sono bass fuzz and preamp. Great condition, with original box. No velcro on this one. Nice unit, made in the UK, just no place for it on my current boards unfortunately.

  5. Versatile Toneprint-enabled octaver with a tiny footprint. Excellent condition, with original box. Velcro (hook) on base.

Selling my TC minis as I now have a Plethora to fit a tiny board.

Collection welcome, otherwise UK postage will be a fiver.

    Thanks for looking,

  7. Just over 3 months old from new and no damage at all. Considerably increases the capacity of the Mono M80. I'm just going back to Fusion, which suits me better and will accommodate incoming medium-scale basses.

Collection welcome. I do not have the original box so but happy to ship in alternative packaging at buyer's expense.

If you want this and the M80, listed separately, I'm happy to do both for £200. I do have the box for the M80 which will hold both so can ship together at buyer's cost and organising.

    Thanks for looking,

Is the Ampeg Liquifier analog chorus pedal a good purchase for Bass?

I bought one out of curiosity and sent it straight back - the controls were finicky and the tone bland, imo. The TC's versatile for sure but for simplicity and tone I'd vote for the EHX Bass Clone as the top budget offering. It's a little noisy, but nothing unbearable. The Boss Bass Chorus is solid if that's your flavour. Some years ago I had a super cheap Hartke chorus (in a purple housing I think?) that was amazing value; it wouldn't win any robustness plaudits but it sounded great.

Incidentally, I found the MXR to be uninspiring for the money and I have a Jam Waterfall Bass on the way which isn't cheap but sounds promising. Will update...

There are some T-Rex Tone Trunk 56 boards including hard case for £49 + £10 postage on Reverb at the moment. Not sure if that is suitable for what you are looking for?

I don't even have any pedals at the moment but very tempted to buy one anyway!

Edit to add it can be used in or out of the case.

If you change your mind on the Boss I can vouch for this. It's a solid case (with a bit of storage in the bottom) and a decent pedalboard; I think I've squeezed 13 pedals on to mine? You could get a quality isolated power supply with the extra dosh although it can only fit shallow ones (mine's a slim Voodoo 8). It's an amazing deal at the Reverb price!

All the best whatever you settle on.

  11. Rather clichéd but the humble Bass Soul Food always makes me smile when I use it. I've bought and sold them multiple times in the past and have decided that I'm going to intentionally keep my current unit, whether it lives on one of my boards or otherwise. It may lack 'heft' at living room volumes but comes into its own on stage.

Commendations to the Boss BB-1X too; I recently picked one up for peanuts and it's great! I don't understand Boss' sales spiel about it and I'm not sure it has a clear identity but it does the job at gig volume!
