  1. She completely lost her voice for a long time after getting lyme disease from a tick bite many years ago, and spent a long time learning to sing again. I guess it is how it was left. At least I thought that unlike other gigs, at least she left the high stuff to the backing singers, and did a low harmony.
  2. I love the slicer. I have no use for it, but I love it anyway!
  3. It would probably have been Twist and Shout Rexes Hollow Stoke Sub-Hamdon working mens club Maruszczyk L24 into Boss ME90 into the PA.
  4. I always find backlighting perfect for taking pictures of the front of an item.
  5. Enjoyed that mostly although I have heard more spirited before, maybe needed a smaller area. But now there is Cindy Lauper, who has a great band and.. well.. I think I will turn it off for a bit!
  6. Like her tiny desk one on youtube?
  7. Another 80s visitor when it was around £20 and before the music was really that much of a thing. I wouldn't really want to go back to it now, but I am sure those people visiting this week will have a great time and it will be their festival to look back on. And at least it cooled down from tuesday! I shall just grump about local traffic.
  8. I figured if it was £33 it couldn't be that good!
  9. Having said that, I ddid a google for me90 case, and this came back: https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/tourtech-ttc-up500-effector-case-pedalboard-hard-case and measuring it, it is 500 x 255, the ME90B is 443 by 220, so should fit and you could do the cut out on the top (in fact I think that is what it is supposed to be like)
  10. I don't. I am in the position where currently for live work I am putting it on my pedalboard as I also have a vocal effect pedal on there I need, but in practice I have nothing to carry it in. I am sure I could find something on ebay / aliexpress if I searched, but it is hard to search for a size on there.
  11. Makes a change from trying to flog tickets at double price!
  12. Placebo last night in southampton. Absolutely great gig, best I have seen them. The venue had surprisingly good sound considering it was outside in guildhall square in Southampton which was all fenced off. It was remarkably warm, the hottest day of the year so far and obviously on a lot of stone it was warm, but by 8 the sun had gone around so there was shade from the high buildings. There was a 5 minute break due to a fight at the front where they stopped the show to rant at them until they left (not sure what security were doing), but the rest was good, new stuff and old hits, ending with running up that hill. Oh and the best bit, it was another no phone gig, I love those. Still had some people using them, wasnt absolute like tool was, but most people respected it.
  13. Just back now, was the best I have seen them.
  14. Placebo tomorrow in Southampton, makes for a little midweek trip out.
  15. It looks like a fender
  16. Yes, you would need a TRRS socket with a microphone on it, which virtually no IEM system will have
  17. Thats exactly how it was. So we have some people coming in and taking over unused accounts with weak passwords from people who haven't been there in years but have got a reasonable post count and reputation and offering items to sale to scam people. And people are seeing those people and seeing they have a standing here and sending them money.
  18. In general a lot of people people who have bought something from me have made offers, and I have made offers, but I have never had eBay like offers (like, being offered 40% of what you asked for), more like 'can you do the shipping in the price' or rounding things off a bit. Conversley, on more noticably cheaper things, people have just said 'I'll have that'
  19. Actually tricky as you have to define what active membership is - people who have posted in a certain time, people who have logged in in a certain time? And what is that time. If you don't log out, and your browser keeps the cache, it doesn't show you logging in, so someone could be here for a long time with no indication they were there
  20. probably for the best, didn't sound like it was going to get much better and there were going to be more of these events. did you mention the reason? I suspect it will be trickier to get someone in in 5 weeks but that isn't really your problem, maybe she can do the bass for those too?
  21. Sorry to hear that. You can never really know what someone else is dealing with
  22. I am assuming that in a regular group the melody line that starts after the first intro is played by the guitar.
  23. They are - the fender ones are pretty ugly, the telecaster (and original P) are beyond ugly but everyone is used to them.
  24. Just listened again, you would need a split to get the sounds but there is nothing hard there in the intro, I could do it and I am not great. The keyboard player in my band could do it better. I mean, I wouldn't, I would have the bass player playing the bass, but it could be done without too much difficulty. I gets a bit trickier in the chorus and i notice that live Madonna had bass, guitar, and two keyboards.
