1. Hi, After waiting patiently for the Mark Bass super synth hoping it would be the answer to my electro-four string prayers I have been let down. It doesnt do a square wave shape and seems incapable of producing the sort of sounds I want based on reviews and a read of the manual. Therefore I am re-thinking how I can get the sound/s i want. There seems to be a few options 1) Get a midi bass system - this seems like it would be VERY expensive and a pain in the bum, i dont want my lovely bass to have a unsightly midi pickup nor do I want the flexibilty of the midi system, I only want monophonic synth sounds not tubular bells drums kits or nylon string guitars or any other none bassy nonesense that can be achieved with such a system. 2) Get a pitch - cv converter and a suitable analoge synth, this seems to be the one i favour. Just seeing what peoples experiences of the two systems are, thoughts pros cons etc etc Hope you can help
 2.
I pitch-to-midi my bass signal and double everything I play but still do everything on the bass guitar. Sick!
Hi Dan, what excatly do you use to pitch - midi your signal?

 8.
hey, i've been following this thread for a while and am severely tempted. would you be interested in an assmaster fuzz (with a bit of cash my way) or any of the other pedals mentioned in the thread below (with cash your way)? i don't think i could stump up the whole cash amount right now, but if you were interested in a pedal (or 2!) i may be able to make up the difference! let me know if anything can be done (Maybe this is the beginning of a trade initiative which could escalate to turn the economy around ) cheers, rich
left a reply on your post, interested in your synthy dancey stuff you dont mention..

Also is there a way to use it with a momentary switch i.e. trem only engaged when foot is on pedal, for short blasts of trem? Thanks

Fuzz isnt on my list of essentials right now but if I havent had anymore responses in a month or so I'd be very interested in a Part Ex for the G5. Thanks

 19. Me a sax player and a producer are currently working on a dub step band project. The producer and a DJ whos currently in the far east have had quite a bit of sucess with thier productions. I dont wanna give away too much just yet cos we arnt ready to gig yet and we've had some pretty good ideas thus far but the Sax player will be playing an AKAI EWI (for the WAPs and WOPs) and i'll be doing the sub so we'll both be the bass players. Not sure if we'll get a drummer or use a laptop or MPC type thing. There is a you tube clip of a live dubstep project but i think its just peeps playing along with a dj. Let me know how your project goes WAAAAP!
 20. Im selling my Korg G5 unit as I no longer have any use for it. I imagine if your looking at this you know what it is, however for those who don't the G5 is a long discontinued Synth Bass pedal similar to an Akai Deep impact pedal. They are very sought after and generally pretty rare. I'll be selling this one cheaper than usual for the following reasons; 1)Cosmetically its not in fantastic condition and does not have the box, manual, original psu etc. 2)Two of the pedals (2 and 3) need to be pressed very firmly to switch them. This is only an issue if you need to use more than one patch in a song (which I used to in my old band!) as otherwise you can just switch between bypass and 'on' with the 1 pedal. Bank pedal works fine! To be honest once you've got used to the 'technique' the 2 and 3 pedals are not an issue. The 'technique' is to press frimly at the top/rear of the pedals!! Apart from the slighty naughty pedals the unit is in complete working order. The sounds are very very good! I believe these pedals usually go for around £175 - £200 im only looking for £150. Will consider swaps and part exchanges for quality pedals, cosmetics not an issue. Hope this tickles your fancy, ooh er missus!!
 21. BUMP, any news anybody??? AGGGGAHAHAAHAHHHHHGGGHHHH
 22.
Any guideline on how many £'s you'd be looking for this?
Yeah sorry, I reckon at least £150. Vic McKay just sold his for £175 in a rush im not in a rush but cosmetically mine is not as pretty as his! So thats my min price, does that seem fair?
