Sorry uzzell
Nae bother. If by some miracle it does become availableagain then I'll take it.

Darn it. Foiled again. You go offline for an hour only to find the amp you have been waiting for becomes available and gets sold in the time. Gutted.

So I was just in the middle of restringing my bass when I noticed this...
Just wondering if those notches where the strings sit is something to be concerned by? I must admit that lately I have noticed that the E sting (this bass is tuned E-C, so the lowest string) has lacked a certain punch and presence lately - could the zero fret have anything to do with that?
Cheers in advance

Did this sell?

Would love to go for this but for the 300w power handling required to be compatible with my head.

There's a guy local to me that does this exact stuff. Check him out and his previous work here...

Why are all the best cabs a million miles from me?
-
So I have downsized from a large 4x10 and currently in the market for a smaller, more portable cab with the future option to add to it IF needed.
Top of the list is an Aguilar DB112 but lately I have been strangely drawn to the world of the Phil Jones bass cab philosophy an looking at the C4 cab. But therein lies the issue, I have never played through a PJB cab so have no idea what to expect. So with that in mind, is there anyone out there willing to give their verdict on these cabs? What can I accept tonally? What kind of volume practice/gig would it be best suited to? And for anyone who might have experience in both the DB112 and C4, how does it compare? Its also probably worth mentioning that I use a Markbass LMII which I have owned since 2006 and that is a keeper, so is there any way of getting an idea of how the LMII and C4 might work together.
Ordinarily, I would head over to Youtube but there appears to be a real dearth of videos on the C4.
Pretty vague question, I realise, but any input would be great.
Thanks all.

I keep coming back to this because frankly it's one of the best looking basses I've ever seen. If it had one more string I would have had this off you. I may yet still.

True Tone (One spot) CS6 under mine. It’s great.
Out of interest, did you go down the route of drilling holes for the unit to be attached under the board? If so, how has that worked out?
I am happy to do this but the supplied screws seem rather pronounced and have quite a large raise in the head which I imagine would interfere with pedals mounted directly above.

Location?

So after having a brief behind the scenes chat with @Al Krow and realising I could probably do with a couple more isolated outputs in order to future proof my board, I have decided to move on my Strymon Ojai (previously shown in this thread) and instead try out the Truetone CS6. Should arrive on Monday so will be sure to feedback here when I have had a proper play around with it.

Recently bought a Darkglass pedal off Dave. Great price. Excellent communication. Speedy delivery. Well packaged item. What more could you ask for? Pleasure to deal with.

Recently purchased a couple of pedals off Darren as part of his great pedal purge. Great communication and very accommodating. Pedals arrived well packaged with speedy delivery. Pleasure to deal with.

Same as above really. Bought some strings. Great communication with speedy delivery (even despite the snowmageddon). Thanks indeed.

That's neat. You look as though you have raised 'feet' for your board (just comparing the height of your four to those on mine). Did you source your feet separately and, if so, where from?
Raised feet would certainly open up a bunch of additional PSU options.
In actual fact, these are still the original stock feet. I considered replacing them but I decided against for a combination of reasons, mostly because with my modular 2 Nano setup I like to have the one behind raised but an inch or 2. Therefore I am making a couple of wooden runners to raise it but they have to be detachable in order that the board will fit inside an old flight case I have laying around.

My seemingly never ending quest for the perfect PSU is currently settled on this...
I am using a Strymon Ojai to power generally high draw pedals across 2 PT Nanos. I am currently in the middle of fabricating a couple of riser platforms. Once complete I will no doubt share full details elsewhere on the site.

Greetings all. I just wondered if anyone might be able to inform me as to the internal dimensions of the Hard Case for the Jr Classic?
I had a look online but I could only find external dimension.
Thanks in advance.
**EDIT** I am mostly interested in the internal height measurement if possible, i.e. the combined height of both the lower and upper parts.
Thanks again.

An Audient ID14 or a Focusrite 2i4 if you are just using it for Bass alone. Then download Amplitube 4 and use the amp, cabs, effect pedals etc.The Ampeg amps and cabs are great in Amplitube, really close to the real thing.
This is my mode of operation too and works well enough for me.

Very tidy. What board/case is it all housed in?

I read this thread with great interest as I have noticed a similar problem with my Sandberg JM5 (tuned E-C). It was great to see all the potential fixes documented here so a personal thanks to all those who contributed. I may very well go down the route of a hi-mass bridge too. I see you went with the Fender one, so just wondering what people's thoughts are regarding alternatives? Anything particularly recommended or advised to stay away from? Cheers.

This is all great insight. Many thanks to all who have offered advice. Now to find someone in Glasgow who can take care of the work.
