    It's not a plug-and-play amp IMO, in that with all the controls at 12 o'clock the tone is not great. It takes some time tweaking everything to find the tone for you. However, once you find it, it's a great sound!

Downsizing of main rig has made use of this defunct for me, but this is a great combo with 150 watts of power on tap. Few knocks around the edges, but no electronic issues. This is a great amp in great condition. Only issue is a slight occasional crackle on the main volume knob. Amp has been rack-mounted for some time, so front handles and rubber feet are long gone, but I will include a Stagg 4u rack case in the price. Velcro on the top of the unit was from a keyboard synth module mounted there for a while. Could be easily removed if unwanted. Please comment any further questions.     Jack Bruce played a lot of fretless in his later career. Don't think that he was big on effects.

    You don't [i]have[/i] to use chorus... It's just that some of us grew up in the 80's. It's hard to get that sort of thing out of your system...

    Had a few queries regarding an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500. Rich answered quickly and clearly, so I decided to buy. Payment went through Monday morning, amp arrived Tuesday morning. Can't ask for much more than that!
