1. Well that escalated quickly! At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion, not everyone will agree that's the beauty of forums etc, although I can't say I'm interested or enjoy reading the passive aggressive side of things but completely take criticisms/positives on board, that was the reason for asking after all :-) Regarding the cab, how tough is the tolex on these? Having a road ready powerhouse I never need to worry about damaging it! Having said that if I did end up buying one I'd probably end up buying a case for it anyway :-P
2. Barefaced definitely seems to generate debate. I think it's very likely i will get myself one and see for myself :-D
3. I was using the GK 410RBH and 115RBH series cabs, whilst they sounded fine they were just awkward to carry, load etc so i had every intention of going lightweight back then but then the Mesa popped up and i couldn't help myself
4. To be honest knowing what I'm like, I'll end up buying one, whilst keeping hold of the Mesa for the time being. The Gas is to strong in this one!
5.
If you're ever up in Bristol, you're welcome to come and try my Big Twin 2.
Appreciate that :-)
6. I have a Gallien Krueger 2001RB and play through a Mesa Powerhouse 1000. Whilst i love my setup, it weighs a fricking ton! i kind of like the idea of a lightweight cab, i see a lot of love for Barefaced but was wondering how good they actually are? how do they compare to some of the big cabs around? be good to hear your thoughts :-)
7. Could somebody help me out? I'm a little confused as to how I should set my 2001rb head up to two 8ohm cabs? I'm not tech saavy at all! I'm used to playing through a 4ohm cab, having never used two cabs with this head, I don't want to plug it into the wrong speakon output and risk damaging the head. Any help would be great :-) cheers Ant
8. If I didn't own one of these already I'd buy this! Absolute bargain.
9. I also own one of these and cannot believe, at that price.... that it's still here!
10. Ok So I'm in need of a bit of help here. I currently own a SansAmp RBI, I also own a GK 2001RB. Previously I have used the SansAmp for all of my tonal requirements however I've found myself really liking my GK tone again. I was wondering if there is a way of using both the SansAmp and the GK and combining both tones? I can't seem to figure a way out of doing it? (It doesn't help I'm a complete tool with this kind of thing!) Basically as soon as I have them both plugged in, the SansAmp just overrides my GK having it act as giant poweramp. Is there a way of using both or can I only use one or the other? Any help would be massively appreciated!

14. Cheers i'll try that out when i get my jazz back from the shop, my jazz has EMG's, i copper shielded the control cavity but not the pickup cavities as i read that EMG's were already shielded,
15. Hi, yes i'm wearing the bass with it plugged in. The bass i used today has a single coil and humbucker and also have a jazz which is single coiled.
16. Basically I'm clueless when it comes to these sorts of electrical problems. i have buzzing coming from my GK head when i stand close to it, I've tested a Hartke head through it today and the buzzing does actually disappear, I've tried multiple leads, speakons and changes in location with no change? i was wondering if a power conditioner would sort the problem? obviously i'm not going to be stood close to the amp all the time but it can't be right as it is?any help would be appreciated Cheers Ant

19. Yeah i'ce sucked it up and bought some shielding, think i'll do the control panel cavity and the pickup cavities and see if that improves, if not noise gate and moving my head to floor may have to be another option :-D

21. Yeah single coil and in a bit of a crowded practice space so pretty close to be fair., this was it set up earlier. http://s1336.photobucket.com/user/Ant_On_Bass/media/Current%20Rig/2014-08-24115346_zps3d8abb69.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
