    So pretty much as is written in the title really, i'm just wondering if these both sound the same or are there any differences apart from the mid control on the RBI?, im toying with getting rid of my pedal board and just having a few racked bits. :-)

    Yeah i think perhaps your right with that actually, i never really thought about it, i think i'd definitely be interested to hear someone playing different basses maybe through an audio interface to get a general idea, that or i'll just have to do it the less lazy way an actually go and try basses out myself haha

    i was just wondering if anyone has done some sort of bass shoot out video or bass rig shoot out with multiple basses or rigs? i only ask as there is a guy called fearedse on youtube that does this for guitar heads, pretty cool although i tend o find he makes them all sound pretty similar haha

    I actually only live 20 minutes away from Mansons so I may go and ask them about that at some point:-) I'm definitely in that bracket of people that want the tone but can't afford! Even if it does have a resale value, I just can't justify spending 3K on a bass I kind if figured it would be a a hard task as I've not really seen any about, except for a guy on YouTube doing Tool covers. It may just be a case of saving..... And saving...... And saving :-P

    I'm Interested to know if anyone has managed to clone a Wal or at least clone the pickups? I really love the way they sound but could never afford the prices these go for, so was just wondering if anyone has managed to get a replica made and whether they do actually sound like the original?

    Sorry I think I may have worded that wrong it's a 5th/octave up setting that he uses. I just watched a video on YouTube of someone covering it with a boss GT6B I don't think it's the exact settings but sounds good enough to me :-)

    Basically I want to play the song Disposition by Tool, I love the haunting feel to it, however I have a stumbling block being the bass whammy. I don't particularly want to spend £300 on a bass whammy just for playing Tool stuff now and again so I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative or any clones made? From what ive read he uses a 5th octave up setting, which doesn't appear to be on the guitar version of the digitech. Any help would be much appreciated.
