1. I’m looking to sell my 1995 MIK Epiphone non-reverse Thunderbird. For it’s age I’d say it’s in pretty good nick, but being nearly 20 years old it does have the odd mark, as follows:

A ‘battle scar’ to the side of the body just above the jack socket (photographed)
Slight fading at the upper front edge of the body from wrist/arm wear (photographed)
A small knock on the side of the neck pocket
Slight buckle rash
Some very small marks and dinks on the headstock edges
The usual ‘age-related marks and wear’ that you’d expect to find on close inspection
I'm probably being a bit 'picky' in order to be honest: the only significant issue is the knock on the side, and I imagine even this could be fairly easily dealt with if you were minded to get it sorted. I probably wouldn’t be flogging it if I hadn’t picked up a used Stingray a while ago, and since then the Thunderbird hasn't been needed. It plays well and the twin pick-ups give plenty of tonal options. You don’t see many about, and it’ll no doubt appreciate massively in value the moment I get rid of it (as with nearly every other guitar I’ve sold over the years, it seems!). I’m looking for [s]£270[/s] [s]£230[/s] [s]£210[/s] [s]£190[/s] £170 for it, and it’s located in South Oxfordshire near the M40 (J8): come and have a look and a cuppa. In the event of a sale it's collection only please... Cheers, Tim
 2. Sold my Carvin 2x10 to Lee: great comms and no hassles for me or my volunteer courier who just happened to be heading west for the weekend! Tim
 3. Now sold. Thanks to Rasta for an easy long distance transaction...
 4. Sold pending payment and exchange of item.
 5. I'm selling my Carvin RL210-T. It's been sparsely used in the 3 or so years I've had it (maybe 20 gigs and the odd rehearsal: there's not been much need for it in the practice room as the studio we use has backline). It's in very good condition save for the odd scuff on the corner protectors and a bit of fluff here and there on the carpet covering (I'll give it a quick hoover prior to its departure!), gives a decent full sound, and is built to last. It weighs in at about 23kg: there are lighter 2x10s out there, but probably not for £130. 4 ohms, 500 watts, dimensions 600 x 440 x 450mm. This is a decent little cab, which does a great job for the money. I'm about 10 miles east of Oxford, and I'll try and pop a couple of pictures up at a more sociable hour on Monday... Cheers, Tim
 6. The rather arduous journey was well worth it: Chris is a top guy and after it's first outing in the rehearsal studio the 1212L lived up to the glowing reviews. What a marvellous little beastie it is: filled the room better than any other cab I've ever used, including 4x10s, and seems a great 'fit' with my Tech 21 Landmark head and Stingray. Thanks Chris: I'm a happy chappie!
 7. I actually find I have more difficulty with more strings and everything being generally smaller these days Bert! had a quick go on our guitarist's Strat the other day: it felt like a ukelele! Mind you, I always struggled with Strats: Gibsons seem to 'fit' me better! Cheers, Tim
 8. Hello from a 'brand newbie'! Brilliant forum this: can't believe I haven't come across it until now. I think of myself as a 'part-time' bassist: I'm a guitarist really, but I seem to be becoming less 'part-time' by the day! Mind you, having acquired a lovely MusicMan Stingray 2EQ for a bargain price a few months ago to accompany a Tech21 Landmark 350 head that was similarly cost-effective I must admit there's not much incentive to return to the six-string variant! I also use a Maxon ROD 881 real tube overdrive pedal for the nasty stuff: OK, it's a guitar pedal but it seems to do the business for bass (to my ears at least)! Anyway, great to be on board: take care! Tim
