1. I can offer you a jazz bass for it if you're after one? + cash or something else obviously
2. I can vouch for how good these basses are, its actually what I'm playing in my profile pic. They're effortless to play, they practically play themselves. Very cheap too for such a good bass!
3. Just had another wiring harness, again its perfect. Brilliant work from John.
4. That's so cool! If only you accepted trades. Very unhealthy bank at the moment haha
5. Cheers guys! No, he's looking for someone haha
6. I see what you did there That was my first thought too. That's the main reason it's black, I'd have loved to do it in white or a light blue. I'll just have to be careful I'm not sure yet since there are no pickups in it, but I'd imagine so. If it does I'll possibly switch to an active set. We'll see when I have some more cash I guess
7. I know this is a bass forum, but here's a guitar I've just finished building today - I intend on doing this on a bass at some point (probably a precision or V of some sort), but would like some feedback before I do. It's a alder Telecaster body covered in Faux Fur (I think?), it has a maple neck and rosewood board. It's a basically a chopped up bed throw I got from PoundStretcher stuck to the body with a very thin covering of Wilkos' contact adhesive. I stripped the guitar right back to the wood and drew around the body onto the back of the fur then cut around the body shape leaving about an 0.5" space around the body to make flaps to fold up later. Then on the back of the guitar I squeezed some of the glue evenly around the body then spread it out thin all over the back using an old plastic credit card cut in half, then just laid the fur on top and pressed down very gently (I didn't want to press too hard incase the glue soaked through the fur). I then cut into the 0.5" space I left around the body to make flaps and folded them up to the side of the body and glued them to it using the same glueing process I did for the back. I then did the same process all over again for the front, but left a smaller space for the flaps (more like 0.2" this time). Once the top had glued, I pushed a knife into the pickup and control cavities and jack socket to start the holes off, then cut the material out of the way. I cut straight into the fur for the neck pocket. I then took a cocktail stick and poked though the fur into the screw holes for the scratchplate etc, and installed the hardware. I then went around the guitar looking for anywhere the fur wasn't glued down properly and stuck it back down with a little glue on the end of a cotton bud. I just need to put some pickups in there now! I've attached some photos. Any feedback is welcomed, I'd love to know what you guys think to the idea of a furry bass. Before anyone mentions it, I know it will never be anything like ZZ Top's Cheers, Mike

12. I've recent sold my Warwick $$ Covette 5 string, and I wish I hadn't now seeing this! What a beautiful bass! And if it plays like and sounds anything like the one I sold someone is getting a hell of a lot of bass for almost nothing!
13. @icastle. Yeah it really is an awesome bass, such a variety of sounds you can get from it. Haha, I thought so Replied, Oliver
14. Now sold elsewhere.. Hey! This awesome bass is literally brand, fresh from ESP directly. I originally bought the bass a few months back from Rich Tone Sheffield, but managed to damage one of the pickups, so sent it back to ESP under warranty - but instead of repairing the pickup they sent me a brand new bass. The bass has never left my gator hardcase since it came back from ESP 6 weeks ago (other than to test it and take photos) Currently it has locking Fender F strap locks on it (as they were on the damaged one I sent to ESP so they put them on the new one for me). This is a beautiful bass, it has an amazing spalted maple top. It sounds as good as it looks, too! It has a real deep but biting sound, cuts through a band really well. Price Dropped to £320 (Original Thread: http://basschat.co.u...06sm-brand-new/) [s]I'll consider trades, but I'd much prefer a straight sale.[/s] Show me what you've got! PM me if you're interested or would like any more info or anything! Cheers!
