Ok, so please bear with me, this is something I don't have any experience of. My vintage Fender Bassman is back home after a total ground up rebuild, and it sounds pretty darn good. I'm thinking of making this my main amp for small gigs with the blues band. Now, I'm a very basic sort of player - Bass -> Amp. nothing else. But I do see that I will be required to DI into a PA on occasion for extra reinforcement, and there's talk of a gig at the end of the month like this. My old Bassman doesn't have a DI out like my modern amps, so my initial thoughts are that I've seen lots of PA guys provide a DI box which splits your signal between your amp and the desk. Amp on stage for monitoring, DI signal to the desk for PA. But their DI boxes are rather generic, so I imagine the desk is getting a signal very similar to just plugging my bass directly into a channel on the desk. I'm wondering if I need my own pre-amp, which is a bit nicer sounding, to do the split, and then I can send something worthwhile to the front of house. I'd like to just sit something on top if my amp and forget about it. Thoughts on a postcard please! Cheers, Rob

Same for me too, Chrome on Windows 11. I haven't used the Number of Strings filter before, but I get the same result as you. I have used the Brand filter often, and it used to work, but it's throwing up the same error. I reckon they have a website issue.

So, I have taken this one forward. The Facebook seller turns out to be a Parish Councilor and possibly an upstanding member of society, albeit a bit s**t at Facebook and apparently inept in the art of postage. He packed the cab, sent me pics, weight and dimensions. I did have to point out that a single layer of thin carboard around the cab would not cut the mustard when it came to actual shipping, and that he should consider what potential trials and tribulations the cab may encounter on it's journey north. After providing some guidance, the cab has now been wrapped in a sufficient amount of bubblewrap and boxed again, with pictures sent to me for approval. I have still had to book my own shipping and send him a label, but I believe the cab is now on route. I may, perhaps, be in possession of a new cab in the next day or two, we'll see. Why do people find it so hard to "adult" these days? Rob

I do sell things on Facebook, but I try to be as reassuring as possible. Even WhatsApp video called with a potential buyer to demo an amp recently. Right now, there’s a cab on Facebook I would like to buy, the seller is responsive, but wants me to arrange the courier, but also can’t yet tell me the dimensions or weight. It’s not on Basschat either. I don’t know if it’s worth the worry. Rob

I could write quite a long piece about this, but it's all out there to see now. I knew Justin quite well, and his Dad Rick. I used to deal with them quite a bit in the 90's and early 2000's. Mostly old amps, amp components and speakers. Only later did the full extent of their deceit come to light. They actually carried out/arranged robberies (the one in Italy was huge), they faked gear on an industrial scale, Dumble amps, plexi Marshalls, custom colour Fenders, Korina Gibsons, it must have run into £millions. There was a fake Marshall factory, with all the head cabinets out in the sunshine fading and being kicked about to relic them. There was even a Chip Shop Salt Shaker with vintage dust in it to shake dust inside the cabs.

See my post above. Yes. If any of you are unaware of the Harrisons I would beg you to do some research. They are crooks, through and through. I personally know people who have worked for them. They had a reputation of being able to source anything..... and they could.....because they frickin made it

I did it the other night, late in the evening after a "couple of glasses of wine". I still may have to honour that one, we'll see. If I do, I will get a bargain, a classic, and something I may use, but I don't really need it !

You make a good point. I don't often walk a distance with my gig bag, but when I do, I want it to be right. The TGI Extreme I have has none of this leg slappage of which you speak, and I've walked some fair distances with that one. There is an element of "the grass is greener" going on for me here I'm sure. But I have almost made up my mind to sell the Reunion Blues and the Gator cases and try something else. The Mono seemed like a good bet. I wonder if the Bass Sleeve also has the same issue as the M80 you have? Rob

Hmm. I have the guitar version of this. I really don't like the neck rest/holder, it's really loose. Admittedly I bought this a few years ago, is yours ok?

It might be just me, but I can't bring myself to pay big money for a refinished guitar, although I'm sure it's lovely. Off topic, but their lack of detail in describing their basses is frustrating. Can you put the bass in and out from a standing position with that one?

I should have added that I do own a couple of cases from either end of the spectrum.
