The finish is immaculate, I didn't realise how old she was until someone on Talkbass explained how the serial number works (990810). I was thinking she was maybe 3 or 4 years old maximum, I was totally floored when I discovered that I'd bought a 14 year old bass. I haven't had to touch the truss rod at all, the relief is as it was set when I bought her a year ago.

I have a Modulus, it's simply amazing. They don't exist as a company now though, so have become a bit rare, and the ones that do come up for sale are very expensive. I have to say though, that I haven't played another make. My next bass is going to be another graphite necked instrument, I want a either another Modulus or a Zon, 6 string fretless.

100 degrees is probably my favourite, the 30tn anniversary album is a good but too, features lots of the musicians from over the 3 decades. 😊

I love the look of these, kind of the epitome of the 80's. I'm teaching a guy who plays one, they sound really amazing, very versatile instruments.

Last in mine is a reverb, so I reverb the delays, but I'm after big pads of sound to play over.

I bought my beloved Modulus from there, arrived the next day, exactly as described, actually it was like new. I also just took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer on Dunlop Super bright strings, they too arrived the next day. They even tried (unsuccessfully) to track down a C string for me (they only had 5 string sets in stock), but they did try. I like them.

I don't know it could still work for you. I'd make a point if agreeing a few things first of all, get it writing even. Have someone at the event handing out flyers and business cards for your band maybe ? I did a free gig with one of my jazz bands a couple of Christmases ago, it was really enjoyable and we picked up a few gigs from it.

Another cool thing with the comfort strap is being able to double up the strap where it connects with the strap lock. 😊

I found quite a few threads on talkbass about them when I was considering them. 😊

I had it advertised 2 or 3 times and changed my mind, the spacing was too wide though.

Kind of blue for jazz, my first exposure to jazz as a teenaged bassist. Duke - my first introduction to Genesis. Wish you were here - my older bother played me this once on holiday, totally blew me away. If this bass could only talk by Stanley Clarke, first heard it when I was maybe 16 or something. Phaedra by Tangerine dream. The planets by Holst, we were played it at primary school in assembly, 1 suite per day. It was my first time really listening to classical music. Joni Mitchell - Hejira - my first time hearing Jaco.

You may actually find that it's the string spacing that's affecting you more than the scale length. 34" to 35" is only an inch spread across the fretboard, I don't notice switching from 34" scale to 35" and back again, but I did find the spacing on the TRB6 that I had to be somewhat awkward, and the fingerboard radius is very flat. I've said many times that you need to try as many 6's as possible before buying one.
