1. Hi Eddy It's this one: - http://uk.line6.com/basspodxt/ Cheers Mark.
2. Hi all Looking to move on my Bass Pod XT. It's boxed, in excellent nick, and comes with all the cables, manuals etc. £130 or will swap for something else music related (possibly even one of those strange 6 string geeetar thingys). Actually, I'll swap it for anything gadget like that you may have lying around! Anyone got anything gathering dust? Mark.
3. Hi again Take a look at the following cheap airlines. Birmingham airport is 30 mins from me - Coventry airport is about 20 mins, so take your pick: - www.thomsonfly.com www.bmibaby.com www.flymonarch.com All are showing return flights for less than £50, which will still work out cheaper than posting it! Let me know what dates you've got in mind. Cheers Mark.
4. Right - I've done some investigation regarding sending the bass to Portugal, and it works out as follows: - 1. The bass must be packed in a hard case, otherwise insurance is invalid. Let's say £35 for a 2nd hand hard case. 2. The postage is in the region of £60 (based on 2 replies I've had from couriers so far) So, we're already talking £95 on top of the price, plus there's still the danger it'll get damaged in transit. A cheaper and safer alternative is that a number of budget airlines in the UK offer return flights from Portugal to Birmingham for £50. Hop on a plane, bring cash, I'll meet you at Birmingham airport with the bass, buy you a beer, we do the swap, and you fly home safe in the knowledge that you're looking after it, and not some hairy postal worker! I'm about 30 mins from Birmingham airport, but will happily take a couple of hours off to meet up there, if that helps. It just seems a little expensive if we go the courier route. Let me know, Mark.
5.
I can help you there... I'm sure you don't need that old Jazz anymore
Hey Joe (good name for a song that), how are you getting on with the Jazz? Love the Sub - I'll scoot over probably next weekend and drop some cash off if you're around mate? Mark.
6. Hi Sorry - just noticed your email - it had gone into my spam folder.... good old Hotmail! Although I'd prefer a UK sale, I've got no problems shipping to Portugal, but having just had the experience of one written off bass (thanks to Royal Mail) will need to find a proper courier with the correct levels of insurance. Let me look into it, and I'll get back to you with a cost. Mark.
7. No worries mate - anytime! The missus is always nagging about having too many basses anyway.....
8. Current faves are: - Son of a Preacher Man - Dustie Springfield Nite Klub - Specials The Real Me - The Who Mr Clean - The Jam (Foxton is the reason I first picked up a bass, aged 13!) Welcome to Paradise - Greenday Groove is in the Heart - Dee-Lite Millionaire Waltz - Queen (verrrry cool bassline!) And about a million others, all of which have escaped me at the moment! Mark.
9. Well, if you're in need of a bass for the next 10 days or so, I'm not a million miles from you (j.12 M40) - I'm sure I can help you out with the lend of a P bass or SUB or something similar. Mark.

12. Come on! Someone buy this - I have serious GAS for a 2nd hand Sub that's on sale here Mark.
13. Cool - thanks. I'll keep an eye on the website. Mark.
14. Timface Any news on the sound clips mate? Cheers Mark.
15. Top bloke - bought a Tascam Bass Trainer from Steve, and he even delivered it to my door with a bag full of batteries for it!
16. I bought a real nice USA P-Bass from Si, and he went out of his way to ensure that everything went smoothly with the sale. Top bloke. Mark.
17. Anyone? Open for trades too - whatcha got?
18. If you're ever down near the Midlands, I'll have the cab off you in a second. I've got a 7210SMC, and it's a great amp. Mark.
19. Excellent - I'd love to hear some sound clips. I've pretty much settled on the VT1 Purist, but would like to hear a few samples first. Cheers Mark.
20. Hi all I've been checking out the bass effects that Dave Hall is selling, and wondered if anyone here has any opinions on them? Basically, I'm looking for the classic Bruce Foxton / John Entwistle type overdriven sound, and it looks as though the purist would suit me. I've read the review posted here, but just wanted a couple of opinions. If anyone has any sound clips, that'd be even better. Cheers Mark.
21. brycebites - how do you find the Dave Hall pedals? Just been browsing their website and I'm quite tempted by one. Are they any good? Cheers Mark.
22. Selling my trusty Yamaha BB1100s. It's active, with P/J pups, rosewood neck, and is vintage white (or cream, I can never remember the proper name for it!). Some pics are here: - http://www.tredders.smugmug.com/gallery/2512647#131947041 (ignore the P Bass - that's sold now). The bass is in very good nick - the one and only mark is on the end of the lower horn (you can see it on the 4th pic), but it's not really noticable and other than that is immaculate. I've just put some rotosounds on it, and it sounds fab! However, it's a bit surpless to requirements at the mo. Oh, it also comes with Schaller locking strap nuts and a wide black leather strap. [s]Looking for £200[/s] Now £175, collected from Leamington (j.15 M40) region. I could post, but would need to check the costs. Would potentially swap for something else bass-related, although I've no idea what at the moment! What have you got? Cheers Mark.
