  1. I ordered the Gator GTSA GTR Bass off of Amazon. The Tourtech Pro was out of stock at PMT.
  2. Exactly for the price point you would think a hard case would be standard. However, I knew it wasn’t supplied with one when I bought it. ill check out the Tourtech, thanks. Couldn’t find a Spector one online, and I’d guess they are close to £200. By the way, that black bass is stunning!
  3. I agree completely. The tuners could get broken easily in the Spector gig bag as the headstock is kinda jammed in there. No protection on top of headstock either. I was worried about it getting damaged in shipping. Luckily was ok.
  4. Anyone any suggestions for a decent hardcase? I can’t find a Spector one anywhere. Was looking at Gator…
  5. Got mine at long last! pure Alice in Chains tone. Unreal.
  6. Hi guys, I just bought a Spector Euro 4X (thunderbird kinda shape) which came with a gig bag. Does anyone know of a suitable case that it would fit in? not keen on keeping it in the gig bag due to the price and it’s a bit of squeeze to get into it. Thanks, Wayne
  7. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.
  8. Not sure if I should have created a new post but thought it might be best to ask it here. Does anyone have any experience with the Euro 4X? Wondered what size it is in comparison to a Gibson thunderbird. Love the Spector sound but always thought they were too small (NS2 etc). Was hoping the 4X was a bigger bass size wise for a big dude.
  9. It’s great for recording too. I’d love to try the PF-50T to see if there’s any difference in sound.
  10. Lol, I know what you mean. When got my Barefaced One10 it blew me away. A Two10 is on my list. Amazing cabs. I agree yes, they are expensive but it’s my thing. Not into cars or anything. Just want a good amp for practice that the Mrs won’t mind sitting in the living room.
  11. Thanks for the replies. I will check out the rumble. Not keen on Markbass had bad experience with little mark iii. The elf 1x8 combo is £440 online. I was looking at the PJB double 4. But after watching YouTube videos I think the Cub ii might be a better model. It’s slightly more expensive than the Elf combo. Hmmm, decisions decisions.
  12. Hi everyone. Quick question..Just looking a small practice amp for home living room use that doesn't take up much room (annoying wife) and when she is not there can turn it up a little bit to annoy the neighbours (not too much). I don't have anywhere in NI to try either of the above so have to go from recommendations from here and sound clips from Youtube. The Trace Elliot Elf seems a good bit louder than the PJB. I was a bit concerned that the PJB might sound like you are playing through your phone. Looks great though. I have a Barefaced One10 and Ampeg PF-20T currently, which is pure butter. But just want something a little smaller for when the kids are in bed, doesn't take up too much room but can be turned up a little bit when I like. Thanks, Wayne
  13. Some bit of kit that. Only thing is I can mess around with the Ampeg’s at home for some tubeyness, so I couldn’t totally justify picking one up.
  14. I think I seen Sean Hurley with one of those on YouTube.
  15. Normally the cab is mic'd and a DI out from past experience. I know there is a trans DI out on the ampegs which apparently is a good job. The £300 is a big difference. I could use the PF20 for home practice also which I guess would sound nice. You always get drawn to the bigger option though!
  16. Hello just after some advice. Was looking at the two ampeg tube amps primarily to achieve a good recording sound in the studio. Does the PF-20T cut it? Or is it worth shelling out the extra £300 for the PF-50T? I've read some reviews which state the PF50T isn't loud enough anyway to gig so was wondering is it worth the additional cost for the pad and few extra dials? Thanks.
  17. Ha I wish! Thanks for the gentle persuasion though! I think it’s either the Focusrite Itrack Solo or the Apogee Jam+. The iRig 2 HD has some bad reviews regarding latency.
  18. Yes, I think I have narrowed it down to one of the following: Focusrite Itrack Solo £109 iRig Pro I/O £111 Apogee Jam+ £149 I am just deciding whether to go with an IPad or MacBook from curry’s.
  19. Thanks. Are there any issues with latency? I think I read that somewhere previously, but then maybe it was the cheaper version.
  20. Hi everyone. Hoping someone can give me some advice. Looking an Interface to record bass through GarageBand on my iPhone/ IPad over guitar parts received from a friend. I was looking at the Focusrite Itrack Solo - is this suitable, or is there a better alternative around a similar price? Thanks in advance for you input. Wayne

  22. [sup]I prefer the Darkglass Vintage Microtubes to the Sansamp VT. Slightly more expensive but more natural sounding.[/sup] [sup]The SVT 7 Pro and SVT 410he sound fantastic together. The price however seems to have jumped up dramatically to buy new on places like GAK etc for some unknown reason. Maybe try ebay or gumtree for secondhand. Also make sure the SVT 7 Pro is rev C at least, there were a few reported problems with the early models.[/sup]
  23. Got the T-Rex Junior, the pedal works perfectly now, clean as a whistle. The sound is awesome, definitely recommend it well pleased with it. The t-rex is a brilliant power supply as well.
  24. Just used a cheap 9v power supply at £9.99, would this be the problem? Do you need to use a something like a T-Rex fuel tank junior to isolate the problem? Thanks.
  25. Got to try it out today, there is a noise coming back through the amp. It's kinda like a high pitched hum. Has anyone else experienced this? Sounds great otherwise but I couldn't play live with that coming back through the speaker!!! Considering sending it back.
