  1. So I have a awesome G&L 2500 ..I love everything about it ..but that headstock 😢😢is there anything out there worse ..
  2. That’s the plan though I’ll probably say good bye to best part of £500.00 ..I don’t have the need to sell it so with it playing perfect at the moment I’m tempted to hold off ..
  3. A new one’s best part of £3000.00 ..the sterlings seem to have taken there place as the affordable option but they are the best part of £1200.00 ..there’s been a few USA models sitting on here for a while.. I bought a ray35hh on here more than happy with it ..there also seems to be very little stocks of indo/korean models ..
  4. Yep ..I put my gk amp on there today ..literally sold in an hour 👍…it did go for a better price than I’d advertised on here ..but with the fees it’s what I would have let it go to another bass chatter..just feels better selling on here 🤟
  5. So I have a reasonably expensive bass ..approximately 1 year old seems the 2 way truss rod is seized 😡.. and you guessed the nut has stripped (surprisingly easy to do to be honest ) I did purchase a tapered tool but no luck ..I’ve started with spraying with wd40 to try and loosen this did the trick with another bass with the same issue..I know the nut is not removable so looks like it’s fingerboard off and yes it’s a set neck ..at the moment there is no problem but I’d rather know it worked if required.. any advise would be much appreciated though I know it will probably result in open wallet surgery 😂
  6. Doesn’t seem that long ago you could get a USA stingray for under a £1000 and a USA sub for under £400 but I guess I could be showing my age now 🤟it was definitely this century though
  7. I think that’s the general rule with most thing nowadays musical or not ..
  8. Yep and also make sure they exist ..almost got caught selling my darkglass amp ..usuall scam ..a courier will bring cash and collect….obviously the bass groups are usually okay .
  9. I’ve bought 2 bass ‘a of reverb ..one had a broken truss nut ..the other had a neck as straight as a banana but I got it for a good price and rectified the problem myself so I’m a little sceptical of reverb
  10. I think location is a factor yes and having the “in gear” helps ..I’ve often thought about reverb ..I’ve purchased off there but never sold ..
  11. Is it me or is selling really slow at the moment..I like to think I price fairly for my gear ..I’ve sold quite quickly on eBay but the fee’s are scary..I might be guilty not always trying to sell your typical “fender”..or “Ernie ball ..and I’ve actually ended up getting better deals selling to bass direct they always seem to give really good prices…
  12. My 1st ever 5 string ..agreed about the “metal” ..lobster has a good review on his channel…I’ve seen a few on eBay but never took the plunge 🤟
  13. Just sold my Darkglass cab to John .. top man to deal with
  14. Yes mate ..thanks again to everyone 🤟
  15. Cheers for all the advice ..was possibly the batter clip as the + didn’t seem to be connecting very well so I’ve put a new one on and seems fine now 🤟
  16. Just bought another bass of Chris ..awesome bass and service as usual.. thanks mate 🤟
  17. Yep .. new battery
  18. Yes mate ..I’ve tried that I had heard they used the same pre amps in the subs as the ray 35’s ..but I’m not sure if that’s the case ..
  19. So I’ve got a sterling by musicman ray35 HH bass ..great looks and feel , great neck profile which I find more comfortable than the USA models ..my question is ..has any had problems with the preamp ..seems to have a lot of distortion and I’m wondering if it’s a issue with these bass’s especially running both humbuckers ..I’m wondering if I should upgrade the pre amp ?
  20. I’ve just started using a boss 2 x 10 …it’s very loud I’ve not gone past half volume gigging ..only downside is no built in tuner ..

Building on the foundation laid by GK's legendary 800RB in 1980, the Legacy Series captures that same aesthetic whilst bringing its own unique character to the table. The Gallien-Krueger Legacy 800 is an ultra-portable, high-powered solid state bass amp head that is ready for the biggest stages, the home studio and everything in between. The Legacy 800 represents everything that is great about solid state amplification. Boasting 800 watts in a mind-blowingly small package, the Legacy 800 delivers everything from crystal cleans to gritty, saturated overdrive tones with a plethora of tone shaping options. The independent overdrive circuit with tone control can be activated via the included footswitch for seamless use in a live environment. The Legacy 800 is equipped with GK's classic 4-band EQ with additional "Bump", "Contour", and "Presence" voicing filters, allowing you to dial in the perfect bass tone with ease. Furthermore, the Legacy 800 has a balanced DI with pre and post EQ, an effects loop and aux and headphone connections, making it a valuable asset in your rehearsal space. The Legacy 800's load capacity selector ensures it delivers optimal power into 2, 2.7, 4 and 8ohm cabinet configurations. All Legacy Series amps use a unique interconnection system to help eliminate problems that can arise from extremes in temperature and heavy vibrations. By using circuit boards with gold-plated connectors as opposed to cables with standard tin connectors, the Legacy 800 is extremely reliable and delivers a purer sound.
