never had an issue but i know that on some models like the RM the gain control wasnt bypassed wonder if they have kept that in the circuit

ok so I now have 2 one in the loop of the other, I was going to get an md200 for the loop but actually the thought of using to of the sounds together I thought might be fun 

This pedal is so nasty!! You could def use it without the fixer but I love the eq options to just tweak it a little more. 
 

Upgraded the synth channel 

found a second sy200 for a decent price, the one up top is in the loop of the other, stacking lead synth sounds or a bass and lead sounds the midi control is awesome. 

damn this in the loop of my dirt fixer sounds bloody great!!!!

Total filth basically I put it in the loop of my damnation dirt fixer! And it’s super knarly and aggressive!

You can totally connect the two direct as you say it’s exactly the same as what you are doing but as long as the connections are done correctly on the plug will be 100% fine. 
 

im a qualified sparks so not just saying this you’ll be fine.

No but I don’t really see the issue as you don’t turn up plug in the power and immediately start playing your set, very simple to turn things off or on? I’ve seen people get annoyed the other way at things not just turning on

If it’s the same as my infinity was you have to get a special midi trs cable as the standard trs midi cables didn’t work, something about the dg being type A over type B can’t exactly rem

however they are super easy once that’s sorted to send pc and cc messages to
