1. I thought so, I was just joking about being the first with this ideea.
2. It has two outputs for passive speakers, as I mentioned in the post. No control over them though, or at least I did not find any setting in the digital menu.
3. Hi all, Wonder if someone else had this brilliant ideea 😁 I want to use a Turbosound suboofer as main amp, and on top of it to use two bass cabs (the sub has two outpusts, 250W @ 4 ohm), I was thinking about Hartke HD112. Of course, I have to have a preamp before that in the signal chain, or at least a mixing console. Anyone?
4. Or you can use a 4 string...tuned BEAD. I use a LTD F4N (35") with a pick in this manner, for metal only.
5. Hihi, the guy wants to hear himself louder 500W would do just fine. There are a lot of options, just go to the local music shop, plug in and try.
6. Fix it mate. These modern amps look like toys comparing to classic stuff. I have a Warwick Tubepath 5.1 that I intend to fix also (kind of the same configuration, tube pre & mosfet amp)
7. I reckon I will pay 100 for the fixing and arround 150 to the owner.
8. For now I use a class d amp...Markbass Littlemark 250W. Nice for small venues and rehearsal...on a bigger stage it failed big time. Protection engaged and i played on MUTE for a minute
9. Well, there is a issue...because it works with high voltage (200V power stage transistors), one might be careful with how much gain he pushes the signal in the return input of the effect loop. I burned mine, fixed it professioally and sold it. Still in good condition today. Recently had the opportunity to grab a battered Tubepath 5.1, wich I'll have to fix and pay after what is worth. So, what's the second-hand price these days?
10. Thanks anyway. What style do you play? I need distortion for a metal band, guitar/bass/drums/sinth...
11. How is the Alpha Omega Ultra vs B7K Ultra? Distortionwise...
12. I am considering getting a Darkglass preamp pedal (need distortion), so one of my next purchases might be a Jonas Hellborg power amp. The pedal has all I need as a preamp. https://www.thomann.de/ro/warwick_jh_mp50_hellborg_power_amp.htm The price has dropped a lot and I remember beeing impressed by the headroom (I tested it once with a Jonas Hellborg preamp). Also has a great clean sound.
13. Hello, I just ordered this beauty, for drop D tunning. Don't know what to expect tonewise though. Any of you bougt this already and feel the need to share some opinions? F204FM
14. Doubt that. Would'nt be so cheap, if they had to build a new preamp for shure the price would be higher.
15. Used a M80 in live situation prtty often. Back then I was using a power amp as head for my rig (no preamp) so it was fitting perfectly, and used the DI for the console signal when needed. Sturdy and resilient, clean enough. These days I'm drooling after a Darkglass B7K Ultra, love the distortion.
16. Can you ship it to Birmingham? Got a small Yamaha BBT 110s, I guess they match
17. Thanks for the explanation, seems realistic.

19. The dual jazz pup in the bridge is doing a great job, and the neck is so handy. Love it.
20. I have back home a Yamaha BB G5A, upgraded it with MEC active pups, sounds killer. Lots of low end and sustain. It is also kind of vintage, over 20 years. I'm thinking to sell the new ones (Cort GB 75 & Eastcoast Jazzbass) and keep hunting for old stuff.
21.
I remember reading the original brochure for them (a scarily long time ago) but I recall I decided against as I didnt like the headstock and the Marlin models had a cool fish inlay at the 12th fret. Here ends the nostalgia segment....
Do you have any info about the year / specs?
22. I tested it today on a keyboard combo, and on my Vox Amplug when I got home. This animal packs a serious punch...beats a lot of the new basses on the market. And I payed 60 quids also.
23. Find myself one of these also, good looking, some minor tweaks needed. Sounds like a beast and looks like ready to rock \m/
