6.
Where are you based please
I'm in Blackburn Lancs, BB22SH but may be able to meet up.
 7.
Hiya dunc ,any trades fella?
Always up for trades! It's approx 42mm at the nut.
 8. Hi, are the speakers active or was the desk powered?
 9. Made in Korea. Good condition, has a couple of imperfections and a bit of wear but overall a nice bass. The pickup selector switch has been disconnected and an extra control knob fitted so pups can now be blended instead of simply switched over. 30.3" scale. Very easy to play. Selling to fund a double cutaway. May trade. Can be shipped at buyers cost, collected from bb22sh or possible meet.
 10.
It's mine and it's not as heavy as the Gordy twin neck I sold on here. Weighs just over 12lbs and balances ok when standing. It's being sold as I have 5 Shergolds and I love them all but rarely play any other than my Modulator - although another Marathon 6 would be nice. I'm after what I paid for it so if anyone is interested here pm me....
Just over 12lbs. I didn't expect that! My old USA P must have weighed that! The heaviest bass I ever owned though was a USA Mike Dirnt P, it weighed about 16lb on my scales. Needless to say I didn't have it long...

 12. Never seen one of these before. The thought of the weight scares me! I see it may belong to a certain Bc'er too... 14.
Thank God I don't live closer . . . . . ..
I could move closer?
 15. I don't know if it's been mentioned in the thread but The Stranglers had all their gear nicked whilst playing in the states. That sort of coincided with a bit of a change if direction. I'm sure there was some sort of talk about the theft being some sort of divine intervention and the theft was "meant to be". That's perhaps why JJ's sound changed and the band mellowed...
 16.
That's more gorgeous than a gorgeous thing, seriously can't beat a bit of Matsumoku neckthrough stripey goodness. I think it's a 1984, from the serial number, I'm actually somewhat relieved it's not the 2xP pickup variant (think those were Thunder IIs though) because I don't have to buy it get in even more trouble... GLWTS! Jon.
Cheers Jon, one of the best basses I've ever owned. The other is my JV. Had them both up for sale? There's something seriously wrong with me! Had the sense to withdraw the JV though!
 17.
I've seen your JV up for sale on here Dunc! Nice! The Eden stuff too. I love this P bass but I cant let the chance to buy back an old friend pass me by.
Had to withdraw the JV. In the end I couldn't do it! If your old Is that good it would be rude not to get it back, given the opportunity! The Eden stuff is great but I'm quite happy with the Berg and a lovely little Purple Chilli 112 addon! If you have noticed the Eden has gone down in price to £485.00!
 18. Wish some if my stuff would sell...
 19. Ibanez Artstar Semi. Made in Korea. 30.3 inch 22 fret short scale. Nice condition but has the odd scratch and ding. I've tried to photograph them but as usual they either dont show up or look worse than they are Plays well, sounds nice. It's had the switch rewired and an extra control fitted to blend the pups rather than switch over. Which is a nice little function. Strung with roundwounds. Comes with a black hard case. Selling as I'd rather have a double cutaway. Shipping fully insured to UK address would be £21.90 or you can collect from Blackburn Lancs/arrange your own courier. Meet up may be possible too.
 20.
Hello mate. You obviously love this bass (it certainly is a beauty!!) so why not get out there and gig it? Scratches/dings/chips; it's all part of the journey. Life is short my friend, you may not find another bass you like to play as much as this. Get out there and play it and love playing it. It's what it's meant to do, to be played. Superficial damage is unavoidable but it doesn't really matter; at least it will still sound amazing :-) Sorry, I'll shut up now :-) If I had the spare cash, I'd buy it off you and gig it myself. Anyway, good luck whatever happens. Lovely bass! ;-)
You are right! I totally agree! I've never been like this with any other bass, even a 73 Jazz I had. It's not so much me who isn't careful with it, it's the rhythm guitarist! Lovely bloke but he is the clumsiest man ever. He once poured a cup of coffee into a flask cup (with a rounded bottom) and it tipped up and spilled into the controls of my amp! Then he accidentally snapped the controls off! He's always bumping into everyone with the headstock of his guitar as he's a leftie. He makes me paranoid! Perhaps he should be banished to right of stage where he cant do any damage I'm very dubious about parting with the JV and so probably I shouldn't do it until I was sure.. You may well have swayed me to keep her!
