1. I'll swap the strings and see what happens. The action seems a little low due to the neck not having enough relief so I'll set that as well. I never really noticed dead spots in my other axes, maybe I've been luck so far. Cheers,
2. I bought a brand new EB MM a few weeks back, all black with a maple neck. I've noticed a few dead spots up and down the neck, in particular on the G string between about d (7th fret) and f (10th fret), and g (3rd fret) on the low E string. Are there known issues with MM's about sustain and dead spots? I'm not too worried just yet as it has the original strings from purchase on it so I'll swap them out this weekend before a gig. I haven't had time to scour the interweb about this as work has been crazy. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers,
3.
Looks like the UK distributor is SHX music in Brighton, which is a bit of an excursion from Oxford - so it would be good to hear any comments, opinions, thoughts and experiences from existing Schroeder users before facing the A34 and other selected highlights of the South-East road network. Cheers. Chris.
If I'm not mistaken, they will offer free post if you pay them by bank transfer. Better than spending a day each way in the car. Cheers,

5.
A picture of the box it's in.. Dusty's guitars is where I got it from.. Hope it arrives soon.. I now somehow suspect it's made by the first one of the two links made by Jzchak Wajcman's company...
That's the kind of box mine came in. If you look it says Bill Lawrence Products on the front. It wasn't a pickup from THE Bill Lawrence. In fact, it didn't even have a pickup cover. I had to hunt around the Leeds music stores to find a set of covers. It seems to sound good so that's all that really matters. Cheers,
6. Bill Lawrence Products is very much different from the Bill Lawrence There used to be a whole history of the dispute between these two on the second site above but they seem to be re-hashing things right now. The second site is the real Bill Lawrence and you can find lots of reviews of his products if you Google him. I too bought a P-Bass pickup off ebay thinking it was the real MaCoy but it sounds good and was cheap. Cheers,
7. It might be hit and miss. I bought a Squire P Bass body and a replacement scratch guard from separate sellers on the 'bay and the scratch guard holes don't really line up. Only about half are near the original holes. I then proceeded to mount a replacement neck (again from the 'bay) onto said body and ended up having to shave the end of the neck so it fit more tightly. They where all "Fender" parts but none really fit together.
8. Definitely worth a go, especially if you get to play both electric and acoustic. Quite a chop builder, both reading and playing-wise.

Excellent playing that!!
10.
Soundclip: http://www.machinesofhate.myby.co.uk/Stingray.mp3
Much more P-Bass sounding than the typical Ray but great none the less. It'd be interesting to try and replicate a sliding pickup on a Ray like the old Gibsons used to have.
11. Thanks to all for getting us here safely.
12. Yeah, a bit confusing with all the sites but hopefully this one will last. I don't want to be forced to go to *whispers* The Site That Can't Be Named
13. Hi peeps, I changed my profile name from bassoline to TPJ. Hope everyone makes it across. Cheers,
