Here is my very nice 1989 Samick Factory MIK Squier Jazz Bass in Olympic White. This is a nice old Jazz bass, it has a few knocks and bangs to the body and the usual hair line cracks in the lacquer around the neck pocket. The neck is really nice apart from a couple of tiny dents that you can't feel. There is a bit of fret wear that doesn't affect playability and there are no rattles, buzzes or dead spots. Sometime in the past the body of the bass has had some transfers on it and in certain lights this shows through, however, the colour has aged to a lovely mellow cream and is very attractive. All in all this is a nice bass but it is a players bass and is naturally road worn by the passage of time and quite a lot of playing! The bass has Schaller licensed machine heads and is all original apart from the control knobs which I have just realised have been changed at some time. I am based near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire and you are welcome to come and have a try before you buy. Alternatively I am happy to ship at the buyers expense. It has no hard case but will be well packed for transit. Thanks for looking Mike. Here is my absolutely excellent Gibson SG Standard, not to be mistaken for the cheaper faded version. This is high gloss Heritage Cherry with block markers. I bought it off Oggy earlier this year and it is amazing. The only reason I am selling it is because I am just about to finish making a short scale bass of my own. The SG has the advantage of a replacement Hipshot Supertone bridge which is a massive improvement on the original 3 point bridge. The original comes with the bass. It also has a luthier fitted Guy Lewis handmade thumb rest between the pickups which is really useful and well positioned. The bass is almost mint, no knocks or dings anywhere, no fret wear, there are a few light marks on the back but nothing through to the paint, they can only be seen in certain light and can't be picked out in pics. All in all this is an excellent bass that comes in its equally excellent original Gibson hardcase. I don't want trades thank you. I'm having a clear out. I am based near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire and you are more than welcome to come and try it out, have a cuppa and a natter. Alternatively, I am happy to ship at the buyers expense. Here is my very lovely 2005 CIJ Fender Precision in Fiesta Red with Tortie scratch plate very much like the one that Pino plays. The bass has a Jason Lollar Custom 64 pick up in it and it sounds amazing. It is set up fairly low and plays really nicely with no rattles or buzzes. It has a few minor marks on the bottom of the body but nothing that is a problem. The neck is free of any dings and the frets are hardly marked. All in all it is really nice looking, sounding and playing bass. I'm having a clear out so it has to go. I don't want any trades thank you, I really do need to thin out. This is an almost new USA made [b]Slinger[/b] strap. It is ideal for those heavy basses or a bass that is prone to neck dive. It secures around your waste to take the weight and has the normal over the shoulder attachments. This strap makes a very heavy bass feel really light. I bought it when I had a bad back, used it a few times and now don't need it any more. I would like £20 please plus £4 postage. Thanks for looking Mike (Pestie)
