Here is my lovely nearly new Retrovibe T Rod. This is a very nice version by Probass of an early Precision bass with a Telecaster shaped headstock. It is in Butterscotch with a maple neck and fingerboard. It is quite a bright colour with a nice yellow tint to it. The body is basswood and it weighs approx 4.2kg. I changed the tuners to a nice set of Schaller licensed and I have put on a set of nice roundwound strings because the factory ones were not very good. It is a very nice bass at a very nice price. The current price on Probass is £249 plus carriage and this is only about 6 weeks old. It has never left the house and is in perfect unmarked condition. It plays and sounds very nice with a good deep thud to it. I did try it with flats and it was very impressive. That isn't a mark on the back of the bass, I think it must be a mark on the camera lense. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire and you are more than welcome to come and try this out and have cuppa. Alternatively I am happy to courier at the buyers expense. Thanks for looking. I bought the pickups off this forum and they are Hofner Standard, I think they are the ones off a Hofner Ignition or Contemporary, the ones made in China. The sound really nice and have the correct string spacing for this bass.

Hello BC'ers This is the Mick Bass 02 that I made at MD Guitars in Otley, West York's. The body started life as my friends Grandmother's kitchen table and is over a 100 years old and made from solid mahogany. This is topped with an Ash cap and finished in stunning Purple Burst. It was meant to be Gibson Heritage Cherry but that just didn't happen! It is light, well balanced and plays and sounds lovely. Morning Guys Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. It seems like it's a bit of a marathon that I've been on for years really. I'm also a bit fickle when it comes down to it. The Roadworn I had off Karl was great except I worked out that I don't really like roadworn finishes. I like em shiny. The necks on Jazz's suit me really well but I don't always like how they sound. I did put together a P body onto a Mighty Mite Jazz neck but I think I should have got a better quality body. I now have a tonerider hot pickup to put in it to see if that improves things. I also am moving towards maple boards but I don't like shiny necks and much prefer a satin finish. So all in all I suppose the search must go on until I either find it or make it. Thank you all again, have a great weekend. Mike

Here is my absolutely excellent Spector Shorty which was hand made at the Spector facility in Woodstock New York. It is an amazing bass that was designed for Garry Tallent of Bruce Springsteen and the East St Band. It is an extremely versatile bass that sits just right on the strap. It is light and really easy to play and it has no fret wear. It has hardly been played since I bought it new from Bass Direct on 14.2.14 and comes in an as new Spector hard case. I,m only selling it because I have made a lovely short scale bass and I only need one so as lovely as this is, the one I made is the one that I need to keep. Spec:

No #25
30 3/8 " scale
5A quilt maple top
Lightweight mahogany body
Aguilar JJ pickups
Aguilar OBP3 preamp
Pau Ferro Fingerboard
Graphite reinforced 3 piece maple neck
Deep pocket neck insert
Hipshot style A bridge
Gotoh tuners
Dunlop straplocks
The RRP on these is currently £2,799 and the price at Bass Direct is £2,250 so this has got to be a bargain with a saving of £650 on a new one. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire and you are more than welcome to come and try this out and have a cuppa. I don't want any trades thank you and I am happy to ship at the buyers expense. Thank you for looking. Hello Everyone Has anybody had one of these MIM Jazz's? I have been looking at one elsewhere but don't know what they are like. Any views or suggestions will be gratefully received. It's part of my ongoing search for a Jazz that I can get on with. Cheers Mike (Pestie)
