1.
I now wish I had joined this thing ages ago - so much info!! Have a look at http://www.planetbravado.com/ there are more pics and info on this band. Looks good, may go and check them out. P.S I guess this may be cheating but I would just like to highlight that I have a posting in Wanted, for a case to fit a 70's Ibanez Destroyer bass! Any ideas would be great. Thanks. Flat Eric
They are really good, the guitarist is my mates guitar teacher at Electromusic in Doncaster. He wasnt impressed by 2 loud mouth guys shouting YYZ between each song. They did a really good version of it tbh. Well worth a watch! Solid band
 2.
That's great reminds me of what jobiebass on here did with his precision, really good look!
It looks slightly diferent to mine, think its the same paint by the looks of it though, just dabbed with something other then what I used to create a slightly diff effect. I tried out a few things with mine but a scrumpled up plastic bag worked best for me. Any idea how he got that effect?? I can only guess its a black undercoat with that wierd almost water consistancy purple paint prayed over and dabbed with something and then lackered?
 3.
While I've got the camera out. . . . . . I've got one of these! Does it count having too many strings on the other neck? Flat Eric
reminds me of this I saw at a Rush tribute band. Its a Rick with a special made rick guitar bolted to it.
 4. Wouldnt have thought it would have, as long as its not hitting the peak a set at 5 or something. It has a -15db button bottom left next to the gain which can solve that problem tho. I normally ride the gain at 7ish where it hits peek when slapped hard, then use the master for overall volume.
 5. SVT3 on hold pending the usual, still got the flightcase, powerlight and cab for sale. Pm me offers, Thanks.
 6.
U the size of the rack case i meant how many slots does it have? how many of that rack light could you fit in it for example would you consider selling that rack light and the rack case? so not the SVT pro 3 all i'm interested in is the rack light and the Case =S since the i probably would be able tro afford the SVT 3 and the cab all as one =S
18 holes, the light fits over 3, the head covers 6. 6 lights would fit or 3 heads at that size. PM'd

 8.
Hiya, mind if I ask what you'd sell the cab for? I've had my ickle eye on the 810, there's a few around for £450 to £500ish? I'm selling the 2nd of my combis at the moment, an Ampeg BA210 plus payday for me is the 10th next month then I'm in a position to go shopping
£500+ish this cab is only a few months old and in MINT cond.
 9.
how many watts does the behringer put out?
1 Billion watts! ..if that was a serious question er.. I dont know, may be in the manual http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/PL2000.aspx
 10. Afternoon. I regret having to sell this because I LOVE THIS RIG. Ive just been offered a job in France for the ski season which is awesome, I should have started a 2 month contract in Birmingham on monday to pay my debts off before going but the contract just got canceled so now im stressing about paying off my debts and paying for a liftpass, insurance and flights out there. I need this gone by 1st Dec. For sale: SVT3 pro inc rack, which has always been in the rack. no issues with the amp at all. There is a crack in the lid of the rack tho. ill include all the power leads and speaker cable etc. http://www.ampeg.com/products/pro/svt3pro/index.html Behinger power light thing, This powerful rotary light tube directs light exactly where you need it. Plus, it brings 8 standard IEC connectors to the table, letting you power up an entire rack. For added comfort and ease of use, you can switch the racklight and the power distribution function independently. A resettable rear-panel circuit breaker protects all connected equipment up to an 8-Ampere load. Use it not only to brighten up your work area but also to tidy up the cable mess inside your rack. Practically brand new, no big scuffs, no tears, never been left the house. few very tiny scratched on the kick plate on the back from moving it but thats it. its MINT. 11. Peter Hook was doing a DJ set a few years ago in Doncaster so I went (naturally) and asked him if I could have a pic with him. he agreed and he was a top bloke, I then went to pick my pint up to get out of the DJ box and spilt it all over the DJ box luckyly missing his cd's. I felt a right tit gurning my face off trying to wipe up the beer with my jacket.
 12. bowie - Suffragette City. SUCH an easy song. I mess up the end, there is a simple loop while its saying "sufragette city" loads of times and never count how many have passed so I sometimes play an extra loop more often then not.
 13. hahaha. I recorded a vid of my playing soul to squeeze on my webam which sounded terrible tone wise but did it to show I dont suck completely.. 3 hours it took to render because I cant figure out how to cut it down from a 550meg clip... played it and it was 4 mins of video crammed into 38 secs and the first 38 secs of sound. STUPID
 14.
If you don't like listening to music and this is not just a period you are going through, I'd wonder what real interest you have in music...
Dont get me wrong, I like music. But im not someone whos mad for it. generally because all the music now-a-days is not what I like. The odd few bands are ok like Arctic Monkeys early stuff (prob cause I live in and around Sheffield) and Kings of Leon are orate. Im much more into The doors, Iggy Pop, Stone roses, Frank Sinatra, Slayer, RHCP early stuff. so cause its all old music, I dont go to festivals or watch TV music stations or radio much.
 15. I think its common knowledge I have no idea how to write my own stuff.
 16. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOESSSSSS
 17.
There must be someone in South Yorkshire on here who would do the same for you ??
Finbar? haha. nahh I could never play the stuff you do.
 18. Im slowly coming back to the idea of unpacking my gear again. not even been 24 hours. Just read most of this http://www.studybass.com/lessons/harmony/ which kinda makes me wanna continue theory. Which makes me wanna play lol.
 19.
if you decide to sell, i'm afraid i dont have the £80.50 that has already been offered for the shuker. however, i do have half a packet of skittles if you're interested in a trade?
Make it a mars bar and your on! I still have your address in my satnav I think too. Not from when I bought that cab off your dad.. I just like to pop over and stair through your windows at night sometimes. lolz
 20.
+1 his Shuker is that blue sparkly thing in his avatar
Thats the Purple fretless franken P I made.
 21.
If you end up in a covers band and you can learn the bassline and play in time to the track, then you've played the bassline as well as the guy on the track, it's just that he had the imagination/ability/flair to actually write it. Doesn't mean your a sh*t bassplayer. Im not bad at copying bass lines that other people make, might take me a day or so to master it upto a few weeks for something complex. Didn't know the Rush track so googled it and watched it. Not being able to play that yet is not really cause to beat yourself up. lol, even the people on youtube covering it are off a little. there is one guy on there with a 6 string who plays it amazing tho. I never expected to master it. There are huge gaps in my musical ability, mostly timing, not that I play out of time all the time but sometimes I find things tricky that other people don't. I have to actually count one section of a Foo Fighters song we do and to watch me and the drummer trying to come in on "sex on fire" is pure comedy showband, we land in a heap but manage to get up at the same time so just about get away with it. sounds like every rehersal have, haha Find a band, not a bunch of mates and a smartarse guitarist. It will open up a new world to you. im highly considering this after everyones posts Oh, and £80 and fifty pence for the shuker. Don't want to get bid crazy just yet as I've been out of it so long I don't acyually know what it is. yo'd have to add at least a zero to that price mate
22.
I'm afraid thats very much a run before walk scenario. You do need the basics of theory to be able to improvise effectivly. At the end of the day, whatever decision you make now isnt set in stone for the rest of your life. You've got some nice gear that you'll get some nice money for if you wanted. Would you get more enjoyment out of the money?
I know basic theory. major/minor triads, diminished triad, dominant 7th etc and I know a few difrent type of scales too but I still suck at improv.
 23.
I'd sit tight and watch for Stingray ads here on BC.
+1 They come up a LOT. that is unless your looking for something really specific
 24.
I do a lot of practise using midi files using cakewalk with the bass off. I can slow down or repeat ad infinitum a part that I have difficulty with. The midi files are often a bit suspect but its another tool to help stop you getting bored [£60 for your shuker ]
I do a similer thing with guitar pro 5. helped me learn a ton of stuff that way and get the timing right etc. well all but YYZ by rush. ive spent weeks on that song over the years and I can play about a minuite of it (badly)
