Some people have told me I shouldn't even be using a bass...

Cici here!
Well, sadly I can’t help being a girl, and I have long hair because I like it. It has nothing to do with my playing, and I’ve never rested on my looks to gain followers, nor am I interested in anyone who does.
I take great pride in being the best musician I possibly can be, and it’s about the music for me.
I also dedicate a lot of my time to trying my best to help other people pick up the instrument, sharing any info I have, and seeing where I can push the instrument in my solo bass jams.
I’m not interested in being an ‘instagram girl’ so please don’t diminish me to that, and take the time to truly look at what I do (whether you like it or not is fine). Thank you.
Keep up the good work, your videos are always very positive. I really enjoy them. 👍

Check this review out, it's very useful and very well done. The amp sounds really good.

Thanks! I see we nearly did a gig in Wakefield with you, but had to cancel as I was on holiday.
Aye, unfortunately that one and Nottingham had to be cancelled due to our Kamikaze front man. Maybe catch you at some point.

I've just been updating Hurtsfall gigs on the Goth Calendar, and it looks as though The InSect have a lot of gigs coming up, so if you get the place you are going to be pretty busy.
@2elliot which band are you in?
The Golden Age Of Nothing. We've had to cancel a few gigs over the last couple of month as our singer/guitarist hit a tree when downhill mountain biking and broke his collar bone.

Youtube has live footage of The Insect, probably best to work off that but keeps a bit of yourself in it as well. Also photos on the Facebook page show the bassist with what looks like a large multi effects pedal.
Good look with audition. I wouldn't be surprised if we cross paths at some point.

Public service announcement - Stompbox London has one in stock, at a remarkable £799. That’s a lot less than the US price tag and certainly less than I paid to import from the US last year!
Timing!... I've just bought another amp. I've had three different ones now whilst waiting to try one of these new, two year old Trace heads . If one appears up here I'll try it but it's taken way too long to land in the UK.
Price is tempting though... lol

I always wanted this amp.
Everything a class d amp should be. Banded eq, valve and s/s mix and loud and light.
Everything a new Trace Elliot should be.

As @bartelby mentioned, "The Season of the Witch" by Cath Unsworth too. The Mission's Wayne Hussey has just done a second autobiography (this one on The Mission and the last one on his Sisters days). There are also a couple of books on the Sisters released in the last year too. A fine time for people with an interest to read on the subculture.
I was looking for a book a couple of years ago and there was nothing that wasn't out of print. Post lockdown, it's all changed!
I really like The Mission and have seen them many times but I couldn't get through that first book.

Phoned them and they answered straight away, checked product was in stock then ordered via website. Product turn up a couple of days later, no problem.
Can't fault them.

Cool, I picked one up as well. Very easy to use, sounds impressive and ridiculously loud.
I'm looking forward to giving it a run out.

It’s amazing how enduring goth has become. I was in Leeds the other day and there was a goth girl, immaculately turned out in all her dark finery. She would be late teens/early twenties and my first thought was, crikey, it’s around 40 years since this look first took hold and her mother could have looked just like that.
Leeds is Goth Central.
Here's our last offering...
