Picked my Euro LX from the tech this morning. LHZ-03 preamp installed and some luminlay fret markers installed too. Only played it briefly through my headphone amp, but the LHZ sounds fab! Have to wait about a week to hear it cranked through my GK amp, but I think I’m going to be impressed 😊

Ishibashi are excellent but having imported from Japan it almost works out at an extra 1/3 on top of the bass price.

I've very recently imported a bass from Japan it was definitely close to this. Very efficient service until it lands at customs in the UK, that's when the fun starts, not with the seller, Fedex on the other hand... clueless.

Can anyone tell me if Schecter make a left handed J4 Exotic?

Have a look on the Schecter website, everything is on there... or email them directly.  They're pretty quick at coming back with an answer.

Thanks for the replies, I thought 2 chorus pedals was good, tried an overdrive in front of the chorus pedals, wow!!!! What a great sound!!!

I've been doing that for years. Big sound.

Billy Sheehan Deluxe with a Boss CE5 in the drive loop... bang that through a Clone Theory. I sometimes throw in a MXR Flanger as well for a laugh.

I got given a yamaha gig bag with my BB734a and its excellent 👌 I use it for everything.

They come as standard with the 734a and BBPH, probably a few others too. Really good quality, I use it for all my basses.

  6. I have a Schecter Simon Gallup Ultra Bass, the EMG TBHZ pickups sound excellent, the build quality is great and it's a nice weight.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bass to anyone looking for a Thunderbird type bass. I much prefer it to the Epiphone Thunderbird I had previously.

You will need a very long strap if you want maximum cool, though.

  7. Gallien Krueger Fusion 550 Bass Head and Gator Case. Great Condition. Hartlepool. I travel all over the North and Scotland  so could potentially hand deliver.

Waffle... Using a unique 6-stage tube preamp and solid state power taken from the RB series Gallien Krueger's Fusion 550 gives you huge tube tube tone with a solid state punch that GK is known for. Fitted with their legendary 4-band active EQ, gain, contour and presence controls you've got an extremely effective arsenal of tone shaping options. There's also incredible dual channel flexibility thanks to motorised pots that lets you recall presets on the fly. With an effects loop, XLR direct out and a ground switch the Fusion 550 is ridiculously versatile and ready for anything.

  8. Orange Bass Butler D.I. comes with power supply and 2 into 1 XLR lead. Great condition £180 ono  Hartlepool

    Official waffle...

The Bass Butler is pretty much a complete bi-amp bass rig in just one single, compact pedal. But what is bi-amping you may ask? Well, Bi-amping is when you send a bass guitar signal direct to a bass amp and a guitar amp simultaneously. The result: powerful, punchy, yet clear  low-end, with a separately amplified set of mids and high-end. The Bass Butler allows you to do all of this without the need for an extensive, potentially complex rig!

  9. Any Orange bass amp or GK with do that. I assume it was D.I. to desk from the head and not a cab and mic. That gives you a very different sound, possibly not something you have heard in rehearsal if you are just playing through the head and cab. A cab will alter the sound of the head.

  10. As mentioned earlier, drums on a backing track need to be loud, very loud! and the levels on each track need to correct within your set. We've been using versions of our previous LogicPro X recordings with added count in and clicks, etc. Run via an I Pad and a DI box. Works a treat.  Still prefer a real drummer though.

  11. I'm really enjoying the new album.  I listened to the live BBC radio recording and the bass sound was crazy. I was in the car by myself but still looked round to try and find some to ask how the hell has he got away with that bass distortion.  Like a chain saw having a fight with an army of wasps... brilliant and bonkers at the same time.

It appears the BB734, and presumably 735, is available in the classic BB red and green.

I still love the coffee burst (genuinely better in the flesh than most promo pics) but that green is rather tasty.
