1. Bought this on BC some time ago and now looking to move it to a good home.
It comes with the original box, in very good condition although it has been lightly gigged.

The only thing to mention is that the battery compartment door is missing and has been replaced by Gaffa tape. This was the case when I got it. It has never been a problem and juding by the reviews of these it can be considered an upgrade (!) as the battery doors are pretty flimsy ... unlike everything about the rest of the unit.

Price includes mainland UK delivery.

Will parcel it up nicely.

Price Dropped to £80

2. Thanks for all your input guys.
We ended up going with AMP ... like you've said it's a good deal. I bumped into one of their team at the North East guitar show a few days later and she was telling me a bit more about the AMP (the Association of Musicians and Performers) and I have to say I came away with that rare but reassuring feeling that I'd made a good decision by joining - in that these a real people, they're contactable and they 'get' musicians ... and they offer cheap insurance for members :)

Thanks again all.

3. DH, I love you more than you'll ever know - It doesn't get any better. Amen. It does get different though... which is why I don't think in terms of who is the 'best'. We're not talking about how fast these guys could run 100m, or even how note perfect they can sing a series of notes. Singing is not athletics. Singing is vocal expression so for me no one is better than Donny, but there are people I love just as much :)

Thanks Bubinga5, for bringing some Donny into my morning!!

4. hi guys,
I'm hoping to draw on your experiences here - if I've put this in the wrong place please let me know and I'll re-post it wherever it should be.

So, I'm hoping you could give me some advice insurance for bands. I have recently begun to play in a function band and have somehow managed to become the band leader with responsibility for banking and am thinking about what's the best way to get insured for Public Liability?
If I join the MU as an individual is it just me that is covered, or am I covered for the band too? For example, if a non MU member of the band's equipment caused an injury to a member of the public, or if the band was unable to perform at short notice and was therefore in breach of contract would my MU insurance cover these liabilities? I'm asking because as the band leader and the person responsible for 'the band' as a legal / financial entity these things would very likely land in my inbox and I want to be confident that I am not exposed if my fellow band mates (a disorganised rabble!) fail to insure themselves.

Hope you can help!
Regards,

5. Hi folks,
Selling my Pitch Black stomp box. Its a great little tuner which is in very good condition - always in a case and only lightly gigged / rehearsed.

In case you're wondering, it's just like this one: http://www.rockemmusic.com/files/Korg%20-%20Pitch%20Black.jpg

I'm looking for £25 posted to mainland UK.

Thanks, Doug.

6. SOLD!

Hi everyone,
I'm selling this 5 string Jazz type bass. Its in great condition - pretty much unused. The price has been dropped to £125 plus delivery.

I bought it on ebay a while back to have a fling with a 5 but I'm not using it so it's got to go.

It has a good action, straight neck and no fret buzz that I'm aware of. It has all the Wilkinson hardware that the AV (Advance) series has and it's actually a really well made bass - just not for me.

I'm looking for £125 plus any courier or delivery related costs. It will be well packaged in a heavy card box with padding and will be in a Fender gig bag - same way it came.

Cheers Doug.

Ah well, there you go... my BDI-21 has been fully operational for years and has been gigged extensively, thrown around in boxes and gig bags, kicked around stages and generally abused and it's still going strong... so I'd say YMMV. :)
... ahh man, feeling a bit gutted now! I did think the ones I had sounded better than my Sanamps ... but my mileage was lame. Glad yours is still rockin' !

8. +1 for the MXR M80 - I love it and you can balance the clean and dirty signals so loads of control over how much grit you want.

On the BD121 - they sound very good but IN MY EXPERIENCE every Behringer pedal I've had has gone wrong very quickly, if not out straight out of the box. Personally I wouldn't bother with them as I've probably sent £100 in total on Behringer pedals that basically don't last 5 mins and get binned because they're not worth fixing. Like I say - they actually sound great while they work, but for me (and others that I was talking to at the time) they aren't worth the hassle. I'm not a Behringer hater - love their desks and mics - but not the pedals.

Cheers, Doug.

9. hi Folks,
this is my home brew bass that I've had and been playing for a few years now but due to a GAS attack its going up for sale.
The headline news here is that its a Jazz body and Precision neck. Full details are:

Off white (a.k.a vintage white, olympic white) contoured solid alder Jazz shaped body
Wizard '84 Jazz pickups
Gotoh hi-mass bridge
Fender licensed one piece solid maple Precision neck with Truss rod. No logo.
Fender pickups from a MIM precision
Insulated control cavity

Its got very good intonation (according to my Korg pitch black tuner) and no buzzes. If you try to make it buzz, then like every bass I've played you can succeed, but in normal playing its doesn't buzz. Action is average I'd say, maybe a tad higher than average but that suits me - easy to lower if you want to. Great bass to play and neck feels really good in the hand.

The bad news: I realised while making this that woodwork is not my thing :) The neck - body join is not perfect. The screw holes fit very well and there is a nice tight join between the back of the neck and the 'plate' of the body where the screws press them together but there is a bit of a messy and imperfect join between the heel of the neck and the 'collar' of the body. I looked this up and most people think that this is not a problem and I certainly haven't had any problems with it. Plays great and sounds very good thanks to the great Wizard Pups.

I'm looking for £150 for the bass plus courier costs. Don't really want to split it up into parts.
cheers, Doug.
