I've been using the line 6 m5 for all my pitch shifting now, in the past I've used a wh4 and a wh1, The m5 is awesome as you can pretty much set it up for any intervals or blends etc Obviously you'll need to get a compatible expression pedal as well, but it's really flexible because you can save the heel down/toe down settings to whatever you want

just checked, the output is rated at +2dbu as opposed to +4dbu

pre's will be a couple of pearce BC1's, ive heard they're a bit worse at powering things than standard pre's. any other power amps i could look into?

looking into getting a crown xti 2000 power amp, just noticed they only take XLR inputs. my preamps offer jack output but would it be as simple as getting jack to XLR instrument cable to go between pre/power amps? i dont know why i ever stopped using rack gear!

Yooooo, looking into a pedal based sampler type doohickey, not too fussed about live looping any basslines as this unit would primarily be used straight to PA for saved samples and weird sounds etc! I've been looking at the new digitech jamman stereo solo thing and it looks pretty cool but I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that had the following features Must be pedal based, as it'll be triggered whilst playing bass Want to be able to trigger different samples without having to scroll up/down the presets(looks like the only way on the digitech) Guess that's it really, any ideas?

Mainly to replace the whammy with its pitch glide setting, gonna set up loads of weird sounds on it too, blips and bloops etc
