What's chronic, the problem or your masturbation?
The problem
Interesting, where can I find this spud loaf?
It's not a loaf, they're usually flat and square, but not from a loaf. And Northern Ireland...
What's the best potato for bread?
What's the best kind of buttery biscuit for a base?
-
What's potato bread?
Well, it's this bread, only it's made with potatoes. You fry it, and it's lovely with an egg and some bacon.
Did we ever find out what The Hat meant with the original post? I remember Milty and me asking and since then, the thread has covered potatoe bread, God, the first 119 Metallica albums and the Rammerstein's window cleaner
Yeah, it's a good thread.
Away you go, we're all listening.
Nooooo.... Off Topic
most widely known variant is the slices one gets with full English breakfasts in road restaurants.
This doesn't make sense... Didn't you hear me? It doesn't exist outside NI! Can't imagine why you'd find it in a full English though. I'm guessing the "potato scone" is a fairly recent concoction?
It is good that the site is willing to put up a thread asking for feedback and even endorsing a few suggestions. As for OT...I don't see what the problem is, tbh... you engage in a thread on which you have an opinion. Unless you are looking for slavish acceptance ( and it is possible some posters are ) of whatever you post about, why wouldn't you consider and engage in a contrary opinions...? We aren't sheep.... Oh, I get it... ;lol:
I have no issue at all with somebody bringing up a different point of view, but it's the manner in which it's done. Most of the people that are using this site regularly, most of the ones I know from OT and GD are brilliant folks, but some can't seem to bring up their point of view without going on the offence. It's not something I would do unless somebody was way out of line in what they were saying, but hardly anybody on here is ever out of line with what they are saying.
BTW, Milty, threads you're watching can be found in "content I follow" rather than "my content". Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Ah, so THAT'S what that does! ...
Why is it that what was once seen as "peasant Fayre" is always just the best?
Because it was made for working men, so it's incredibly unhealthy, but filling and cheap! Why it's so tasty is a mystery to me
-
Oh, sometimes threads that I am watching don't appear in the "my content" part. Some of them randomly disappear for a few days. Don't know if it's a common problem or not, but I thought i'd mention it here, since that's what you're looking for, isn't it?
On the subject of potato bread, this is a stalwart of what I discovered was the "Ulster fry" when I was working over the water. You don't really see it back here on the mainland, and people normally chuck a hash brown in to try and make up the gap
Yes, I can't have a fry without potato bread and soda bread. A filled soda is a great thing too!
-
Ahem Tool
What are you, my doctor?
-
You'd soon notice if it wasn't there. Especially live. I love Rammstein, me, and I can only think of 2 or 3 "interesting" bass lines in their songs, but for sure it makes a massive difference to the overall sound.
The most interesting thing about rammstein's bass is the tone. Mad! There are a few pretty distinct basslines in there too.
Still on the subject of sales, I seem to have noticed a proliferation of seemingly innocent posts (under Bass Guitars, or another of the specific forums outside the Marketplace) along the lines of "I'd really like to sell X, I wonder how much it would go for?". Isn't that a way of inviting PMs and trying to make a sale by circumventing the rules, rather than a genuine request for opinions or info? Or am I being too cynical (in which case, I apologise in advance)?
I think it's a fair point.
-
Nope, because we would have to check every link to make sure that it actually goes to your for sale ad.
Ah right, fair enough then.
-
It's because we can't allow private sales from a signature, they have to be from the for sale forum. The signature would be a way to dodge this.
No no, I mean include a link to the ad you have paid for. Is that allowed?
-
Well, apparently you taught him everything he knows, so that's your fault that is....
Yeah, he's gone rogue since then
-
Nope. There's even a Marketplace rule specifically banning that. Before anyone askes me, I don't know why.
Really? I didn't know that... I wonder why...
-
The 36hr rule was put in place to give everyone a fair chance of having their advert shown on the first page or two of the forum without it being deluged by bumped ads within an hour of being posted. Now, this is only my opinion, but if people are now paying for ads, we have even more responsibility for ensuring an ad is given the fairest chance of success without being deluged.
If anybody is that desperate to sell quickly, surely they can put it in their signature anyway. In any case, i've found I get message sometimes a couple of months after i've put an ad up and not bumped it. I don't necessarily see the point in constantly bumping, because if you have something people are looking for, they will find it. Just my opinion. 36 hours is pretty generous I think.
Oh, I know a man who can help him if his hands are too big for normal 6 string guitars..... http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c6d8c8b11 He is welcome.
Wow, what a load of crap!
I'm sorry, but the above statement is not consistent with the number of asterisks in your original abuse.
I may have misspelled a couple of words the first time...
Yeah, go **** yourself you absolute **** ****head.
Sorry, that could be taken wrong, this is what it says without censorship - "Yeah, go help yourself you absolute lovely fellowhead"
-
Oh no it doesn't!
Yeah, go **** yourself you absolute **** ****head.

I think this is a great forum, and I really enjoy the banter and discussions, and I take part in the discussions when I can, because I enjoy them, but I do take issue with the small (very small) minority of people who seem to think having a different opinion is cause to launch abuse at one another. This is not an issue I have with the forum, but with some individuals within it. I find when somebody comes in to a discussion with a negative attitude, it harbours more negative attitudes.
Is potato bread like a potato scone?
Maybe...

Seriously disappointed at the context in which the word "slap" is used in this thread. This should go in the "Off Topic" forum where I can talk about my chronic masturbation problem.
