7.
I've been very frustrated with trying to play to this song, i cant even figure out the chords (i cant seem to harmonise or even tell if im harmonising). the intro is the main bit im troubled with. Hence i've come to the help of you guys. dont think there are any tabs out there and i dont wanna 'cheat' with them anyway. How would you go about figuring out this line? Thanks Ahmed
Well the intro & first verse are pretty, Bb F and G. Or 6 8 & 10 on your A string. Start there and see if you can jam along around that. Edit: From listening to song more, i'm pretty sure he playing the entire song down half a step. So tuning down to Eb Ab Db Gb mate make things feel a little more natural to play.
 8.
Can you put a demo mp3 back up? I'm inclined to buy, just need that little extra persuading.
There's a rather drunk video of me playing silent night on the playing videos thread

 13.
It is already probably on here somewhere but I couldn't find the "search". I want to be pretentious and get some personalised picks. Can anyone recommend anyone? Many thanks Mike
http://www.bestbadges.co.uk/section.php/12...om_guitar_picks Here
 14.
roger manganelli is probably my second favourite bassist (after Alex Katunich) and matt wong etc. Waynepunkdude will definitely agree with these bassists too! Losing Streak by LTJ opened my eyes to just how good he was, there's not a track on that album that i dont love and the bass is just...wow!
+1 That album really made me sit down and listen. I've seen ltj 7 times in 3 years and love it. If you want to know what it looks like to sing and play busy lines effortlessly, you have to watch Roger! I've got a t shirt signed by all the band on my wall
 15.
Victor Wooten has always been a "I see why people like him, but not for me" kind of guy, this has not changed my opinion I'm afraid. Clever with the tuning it back up thing I guess, but didn't like the sounds inbetween! Obviously I'm sure others will like it, just my personal opinion!
Maybe this video might sway you But back on topic. The video's from a big guitar festival and about pushing the boundaries. IMO to get that close to be being in tune by just hitting the bass like that takes a certain amount of skill.
 16.
That's it really... why is it so special that there are a whole bunch of high-end manufacturers making faithful copies of the Jazz only four times the price. I'm thinking of the likes of Celinder, Sadowsky etc. in particular, but Overwater do one, as do Shuker and so on. What's going on? You don't get three grand copies of the precision everywhere you look
Because the Jazz bass is so versatile and is pretty much a do it bass with the right preamp in it
 17.
NICE ONE, hoping to go study music after my A levels. either that or law.
if you want money, do law Unless your going into to teaching that is.
