1. Matt Freeman´s playing is really nice! I wish all those players out there that think that playing bass with a pick is for loosers, to check this guy out!

3.
James Lomenzo - White lion/Megadeth
The work he did in Zakk Wylde´s Pride in Glory (1994) is simply superb IMHO
4. Hello Everything is already sold. I just forgot to update the topic... Sorry Cheers Alex
5.
If you REALLY HAVE to sell then I'd sell the '88 that you don't use and keep the '83 and the Hagstrom which have more use and probably more value.
I really have to sell it... Any idea of the value of the Hagstrom?!
6. Thanks for all the opinions! Any idea of the Hagstrom value? I´ll post pics soon. Thanks
7. When they became big I was too young to appreciate their sound and quality (I was 5/6 at the time) , and due to all the hype created around them and their look, it took me a while to undertsand why everyone saw them as an important and influential band . Only in the late 90´s did I bother to check all of their records...From that point onward I became a huge fan! Rio is such a landmark album (and song - It´s funny because I thought the whole line was played with a pick...) More credit to JT
8. Great gig, great band, great songs, great bass lines! Actually I find the bass sound a little harsh for my taste, but just love how it sounds in the DD´s context! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4YVrxZEloY
9. Hi I´ve just received a 60´s cherry red Hagstrom Concord. Beautiful bass - I´ve always wanted to have a semi-hollow bass! The bass is full of mojo with paint peeling along the neck and the normal dings from 40 years of live playing (but totally original) Now the question is - I need money and can´t afford to have more basses so, should I sell it (and if I do, please help me as I don´t know the value of these basses on the used market) or should I keep it and sell my 88 Stingray (the one that appears on my Avatar..)? I know it may sound as stupid question, but I´ve worked very hard to get my 88 Stingray and have a lot of history with it, but nowadays it just doesn´t get played at all - I´m using an 83 - and the Concord would give me a new range of old-school sounds ... What would you do? Thanks in advance!
10. Thank s for the tip!
11. The guy who is selling it says it´s a custom order from the late 80´s... Thanks for the help!

18.
According to this article in Premier Guitar magazine it's just one of those unexplained Fender oddities - http://www.premiergu...rd_Part_II.aspx "This next little bout of weirdness I see all the time: the serial number on the plate of a Bass V is typically in the 600000 range of 1975 or so. No one seems to know why they used this serial number starting in the sixties on the Bass V neck plate."
Interesting article! I once had a 1973 P-bass with a slab board neck They stopped doing that by the mid 60´s...
19. He must have taken out the ad. I gave him a call and told him that it were made around 1000 of those basses and not 200 as he was saying in the ad, so probably he is correcting that info. But basically what I wanted to show you all was the serial number - 500159 - 1970´s serial on a 1966 fender bass. right? There´s one on Ebay with a higher seial number too http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Fender-V-Bass-1966-1970-Only-1000-Made-5-String-Bass-/281112768647?pt=Guitar&hash=item4173a07087 Why did this happen on these Bass V basses?
20. Check this out It´s for sale near where I live. Never tought there would be such a rare bass around these parts Now, correct me if I´m wrong, but shouldn´t this serial number be from the early 70´s?
