1.
You can never have enough dirt pedals. Your mission is to chain them all.
well said!!!

8. If the sale of the bass Amplug falls through, give me a shout.
9. Great cabs - very true NoirBass. These Trace cabs served me well for a while.
10. I currently use mine running through a loop pedal that has a wet/dry blend in it. I dial in about 40% dry bass, 60% wet, and it works a treat. I used to use a loop pedal that didn't have a wet/dry blend, but I had to balance the bass loss by running the filter pedal into a bass graphic pedal in the loop to get the bottom end back. I prefer my current set up as I keep a chunk of my natural tone, and let the filter effect sit on top of that. But that's just my taste.
11. I'd guess it weighs in around 25kg. I'm sure it's one of the older ones.
12. One Boss ODB-3 distortion pedal for sale. This pedal has two tiny chips in the paint (see pic 4) but is otherwise in mint condition and works perfectly. It comes in it's original box but without the manual. Not that you'd need a manual to use it, it's all obvious. These pedals are going for about £90 new. I'm asking for [s]£60[/s] £45 delivered by recorded mail to UK mainland, or [s]£55[/s] £40 if you can collect from me in London N4. There is velcro on the stuck to the rubber on the bottom so you can stick it into your pedal board. It'll peel of easily if you don't want it on there. PayPal is good for me, or cash on collection. Cheers.
13. As far as I remember it's just the two 10's that are gone. I think the tweeters are ok. I haven't used this cab for quite some time though, so I'm kinda going by what I remember the problem being. I'm in the Crouch End/Finsbury Park area.
14. I'm clearing out some old cabinets that are taking up valuable space in my flat. 3 of the 4 are faulty, but someone here might be able to fix them up and give them a new lease of life. I'll sort out photos if there's any interest. PM me for pics or more info. I'm in North London and would prefer pick up (instead of shipping), but I'm open to delivering if it's not too far. 1. [s]Peavey 115BX[/s]. SOLD [s]1x15, 200w, 8ohm cab. Black Widow speaker. working fine.[/s] [s]£50.[/s] 2. [s]Trace Elliott 1153[/s]. SOLD [s]1x15, 300w, 8ohm cab, Blown speaker[/s]. [s]£40.[/s] 3. [s]Trace Elliott 2103x.[/s] SOLD [s]2x10 + tweeters, 300w, 8ohm cab. Blown speakers[/s]. [s]£40[/s] 4. Behringer Ultrabass 210. 2x10 cab. [s]£30.[/s] £20, IT'S GOTTA GO, OR IT'S GOING TO BE BINNED!! I can't get the speakers working, so it's being advertised as the box only, a good starting place for a project cab maybe. In great condition too.
15. thanks thegreek, it's a beauty for sure!
16. here's a link you should check out for the micro red dragon- http://soundcloud.co...lips-anonymised clips 3 and 6 are the ones. the pedals used in the clips are: Clip 1: Fuzzrocious Dark Driving Clip 2: FEA Dual Band Distortion - this was run on full range with both the high and low bands distorting. Clip 3: SFX Micro-RD - this was run in a "low gain" mode with just a touch of break up (gain at 11 o'clock). Clip 4: SFX Micro-BD - this was run in a "high gain" mode with the gain set about 3 oclock. Clip 5: BJFE BBBOD - this was run "low gain" with the gain about 11 oclock Clip 6: SFX Micro-RD - this was run in "high gain" mode with the gain set at maximum Clip 7: Darkglass Electronics Harmonic Booster - this was a little unfair as the pedal is not an overdrive or distortion pedal but a boost pedal. In order to get break up in the pedal (and not at the input of the saffire) I had to cut the bass and treble and it shows in the midrangy tone. This pedal sounds wonderful clean. Clip 8: SFX Micro-BD - this was run with gain at minimum Clip 9: FEA Dual Band - this was run with the high end distortion circuit bypassed (ie distortion on the low end only). Clip 10: BJFE Blueberry - this was run at high gain with the gain set at maximum.
17. thanks for the suggestion richf. i hadn't heard of sfx before. i just had a look at their site and i found a couple of audio clips of the red dragon on the tb website. i like it. that's convinced me that the odb3 has gotta go asap. i'll keep the red dragon very much in mind ;-)
18. here's my board as it stands now. it's been a few years of evolution but i'm fairly happy with it at the mo. the signal chain is: bbe sonic maximiser (this adds encredibly useable soft & warm lows, and lovely highs to my precision's natural clanky bite) this feeds into.... bright onions twin blendable looper (i love this box. it's the heart of my pedal board. 2 loops, 1 master kill switch, and each loop has a wet/dry blend pot so i can preserve as much of my original tone as i choose. i'm thinking of modding the master kill switch to be an inverter so i can switch from loop 1 to 2 easier.) the two loops are: loop 1 - 40%dry / 60%wet rebel effects wooly mammoth clone (for all that muse type over the top dirt, incredible pedal) eh mini q tron (envelope filter) boss odb3 (used for gentle overdrive. i may lose this soon when i find something better.) loop 2 - 60%dry / 40%wet dha vt1-mk3-bass (ah, my favourite!! my gorgeous valve overdrive. set up for the sweet spot, when i dig in it really growls back. awesome tone.) eh double muff (gritty punching upper mids in single muff mode. all out nastyness in double muff mode.) then out of the looper to.... bbe sonic stomp (it's an optical soft knee compressor. very transparent. i don't have the comp up too high, just a touch but it really tightens up my p bass sound.) there ya go. as you can see, i like my dirty sounds. on most gigs i normally use effects here and there to lift the bass (choruses, middle 8's and other peoples solos), where neccessary, of course. i am a believer in the 'less is more' approach to my bass and use of effects and my toys give me the flexibility i need. any suggestions for a replacement for the boss odb3 are welcome. i'm looking for an overdrive rather than full on distortion.
