Total Watts

1. I'd like to own this (or a P5 equivalent) at some point
2. In addition to making up for the the height difference, the vertical-array-effect in the 69er should provide a much more evenly distributed sound for the benefit of the audience and sound-guy
3. holy thread revival, Bassman
4. the LH500 is 350w at 8 ohm, 500w at 4 ohm. Most solid state amps must be run at 4 ohm to achieve their maximum output, hence you connect two 8 ohm cabs in parallel With the cabs in 8 ohm mode, either of the two pictures are the right approach. The only difference is that the load is split in parallel at the first cab in pic 1, instead of splitting it at the amp as in pic 2. I can see the confusing factor though, as Hartke apparently didn't consider daisy-chaining cabs when they wrote the 8 ohm labels. Maybe labeling would help on the true split signal / bridging LH1000, but on the LH500 it's not really helping
5. modularity for a minor premium
6. the obvious suggestion would be a Super 15 - basically the smaller framed 2x15 that replaced the Vintage because noone bought it for use with a tube amp anyway. Or two compacts for modularity
7. I'm not sure this is tasteful:
8. I really, really like the new passive jazz-basses they make. The ones with the regular jazz pickups instead of Delanos and passive electronics. They're cheaper than the regular ones too
9. When did they swap to broadneck as the standard SS1 model? In the 90s, at least in the start AFAIK, they were like maple SS2s
10. I wouldn't choose black on maple in a custom situation, but incidentally, I recently bought a used Warmoth with maple board, black blocks and binding. It also has a tobacco burst finish, no pickguard and a control plate with face flat black knobs for the preamp On the other hand, I think pearl blocks and binding on maple looks too cheesy to be classy
