1.
I have two nice 5-string basses, a G&L L2500 Tribute and a MM SUB5.

They're fine, but I really really like wide string spacing on 5-string basses (19-20mm).
MM don't make a Stingray like that.

What is the best alternative?

I have found the Lakland 55-02, which seems decent. I don't like the finish they offer, but the bass seems like it'll get me close soundwise.

Any other alternatives?
I have a similiar train of thought I found the Yamaha's are nice and wide as is the Cort GB75 and GB 95, I have a Yamaha RBX775 that I'm selling that has a lovely wide board It is listed on BC maybe have a look

2.
For sale, my beloved USA-made Music Man StingRay 4...

Made in 2000
3 EQ Active Electronics (has fresh Duracell 9V battery)
Maple neck and fingerboard
Cobalt blue pearl colour
Clear pickguard
Fantastic low action
Some minor playwear - a few body dings on body and headstock, but nothing significant.

A rock-steady, punchy, growly bass capable of so many different tones... if I could keep it, I really would.

A SUPER funky bass, 100% Made in USA

Will be posted with a high quality Ritter gig bag.

Have custom ordered a Jaydee bass so she has to go, (I also have a 1977 MM Ray 4 you see)

Feel free to contact me.

Thanks! Mark.

I recon with insurance and based on a 3 day delivery about £25 ish

4.
haha sorry, mega tired but im sure you knew what i meant though, cheeky  :)

through a lot of trawling through ebay and gumtree over many months, I did have three of them but jhk had one off me in blue

5.
oh mahhhhhn!!!

5 years ago 'till not so long ago, i was searching the world for one of these and you cone along with 2 for a mighty price of £ 160!! :)
if it wasnt for having a musicman Sting'5 then i'd be down on this like Bootsy to a sig bass (:-P) but i wish you all the best selling and some lucky buyer will love this/these beaut's.

BUMP!
Cheers mate, It's not £160 for the pair, one of them is £160 and the other is £200

6. This is one of the first backline cabs ie grey grill and the redish writing, still in full working order, I actually used it at a gig a couple of weeks back and it's fine.
ideal for small gigs or practice indoors.
I've had it years but it never gets used.
This is an 8ohm cab.

£60 collected from south east london/kent
pm or call me on 07956 964156

7.
I'm REALLY loving my modded RBX270, despite it effectively being my cheap knockabout/backup. As a result, I quite fancy getting a better quality P/J bass, but can't really find anything I like. It needs to have a slim neck and 24 frets (or at least 21).

Any suggestions?
ESP do one in there LTD range I think it's a 204 In sunburst or white and it's is reliced and only about £350 new, I've been looking at it and the best price with delivery is from Thomman, well worth a look

8.
These are wick amps, someone simply must buy it at this price! I'd buy it if a 400RB wasn't already perfect for my needs.

Truckstop
Cheers Dude, I really don't want to sell it, but needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. Yamaha RBX775 5 string bass in condition, nut has a few marks here and there, plays and sounds great.
I've used this for heavey rock right through to working in my ska band aswell as the covers band.
It's never let me down and as I have only the one of these left but has to go.
Do not compare this to the RBX 375, they are no where near as good as these and as they have been discontinued they don't come up to often.
The dots on the fret board are stick on glow in the dark ones that can easily be removed, they didn't have markers on them from production and it caught me out a few times, but as I said they can be removed in 5 minutes.
I will accept £150 or offers very close to this and it's worth every penny.
Postage will be about £25 thats fully insured but you are welcome to come in and try it.
Either contact me via PM or call on 07956 964156
