Here's a working link to the petition page; easier to use, maybe..?

Petition : Save Abbey Music Studios from closure by NHS Oxleas Trust ...

Seems like a real rum do to me. Someone must know the real motives and reasons for this..? Very odd. I hope the petition provokes a positive outcome. :friends:

Edit : petition signed, naturally. I didn't appreciate the petition site's insistance that I contribute more, but that's just me. I hope the issues get resolved and that the Good Work being done at that studio can continue and flourish.

Yeah agreed regarding donations, not necessary and thanks for sharing

  2. Can anyone here please take a couple of minutes to sign the petition.
A local rehearsal/recording is being forced to close as for what ever reason the Oxleas trust have decided to end a rental/lease on a building that has been an established recording and rehearsal studio for 30 years plus.
They have numerous empty buildings with in this site that are not being used and becoming derelict, much the same as this building was all those years ago.
With so many empty buildings they’ve taken it upon themselves to target this.
Abbey Music Studio’s have helped many people over years and have always gone out their way to go the extra mile to help young people wanting to learn to play and give them focus and encouragement to enjoy from a hobby through making it an occupation.
So please sign and pass on.
Abbey Music Studio’s appreciate any support you can offer.

  3. These have always been my favourite go to speaker cab

    4ohm can very portable.

I’ve used so many different heads with this from the EBS hd350 to mark bass and recently an Eden.

what ever head used it never disappoints and always delivers.

Not selling out of choice but needs must.

collection ideally but can arrange a mutual meet if required.

  4. Ideal project for someone to get into, bought from Alan Knight.

this needs some work ie rewire and a good set up.

It has an old serial numbered neck plate on it relating to the 60’s purely for authenticity.

partial road worn white sparkle body and rosewood board.

Fendet decal fitted prior to my purchase some years back.

    Collection ideally.

    any question pm me.

    Based around DA17 area.

  5. Very ltd edition collectors items and numbered 863 & 864

The price is per item and not for both.

Both still have the plastic stick on lens covers in place.

Neither have been opened so not sure if the batteries are flat or have never been engaged.

All packaging’s are in a very good condition.

  6. Mid 80’s Japanese Fender Jazz neck.

Not sure on origin of the body, may have been a Squire body, I know I had to get the back pickup route made longer to accommodate a bridge jazz pickup at the back, hence the hunch of a squire 90’s body.

I had the neck refretted.and the board planned/sanded straight and the truss adjuster at the heel replaced making it a dream to play.

The neck is sanded so no lacquer  on the back and Is very smooth and fast to play.

It is alleged that the neck belonged to the original bass player from the Quireboys, means nothing I know.

Body is a heavy alder I believe.

Pickups are after market replacements, basic Chinese ones but sound as they should, plenty of burp and a nice fat slap tone.

The tuners are in badged open gears and stay solidly in tune.

Plenty of chips and grazes to the body, a true work horse.

All wiring and pots are switch craft and have correct caps etc.

weighs around 11lb so not the lightest of basses.

Plain neck plate, no aerie number and the bridge is a Fender vintage reissue.

    Any questions fire away.
